Stay Alfred Chisca - rented a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath in downtown Memphis. The apartment was perfect for 4 sisters interested in reminiscing in the area for 3 days. Customer Service was helpful when we found out we had no shower curtain or rings for the master bath, brought it the next morning. Only issue I would recommend to change is to have a handicap access to unload luggage and get it to the elevator without climbing so many steps. We enjoyed everything else about the apartment, very conveniently located to see downtown Memphis! I would definitely check into Stay Alfred again.
The location of the Chisca on Main is unbeatable! The building is old but well refurbished. The security is great for the parking lot and the building. The air conditioning was fantastic, I only mention this because it is HOT in Memphis in July we were very thankful the AC was so wonderful. I only had a few complaints or suggestions. There was not enough towels for everyone or trash bags. The water pressure was awful in the showers. It was mostly clean we did find some hair in the bathrooms and it seemed like the rugs had not been vacuumed well and the hard floors downstairs really needed a mop.
Great location super spacious. Should provide additional towels, hooks on back of doors to hang towels etc. should provide more than two key swipes
We booked a night here through Hotels.com and got our confirmation for a one-night stay for a total of $147. Suddenly, a charge went through on our credit card right after booking (we haven’t even stayed there yet!) for $255+ and it turns out this is due to a “cleaning fee” of $108!!!!! That should have been disclosed at the time of booking and payment NOT afterward as a surprise charge!
Great space for hosting an event, and it is beyond walkable to just about everything you would need.
Wonderful stay, wonderful location, very easy and very clean! Hit Beale then leave and go up to Main and Front St area right around the Chisca it’s much better more locals less panhandling
This place is one block from Beale St. and is super secure - there are three levels of security to get in! The apartment was really nicely furnished, with a lovely modern kitchen. The walls were odd - there were places where the plaster was broken away. I guess the place has been recently renovated after being vacant for some time. But this isn't really an eyesore and doesn't interfere with the functionality of the apartment. It was just a surprise!
