“A block from Graceland!!”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

We were in Memphis for the sole purpose of visiting Graceland and this hotel couldn't have been more convenient. We walked about one block, same side of the street, to purchase our tickets and get on the shuttle bus that takes you over to the mansion. We stayed in a Standard King, Non-Smoking room. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the bathroom was clean, and they had the AC going before we got there so it was nice and cool. The decor is a little outdated (not a big deal to us), but the room a refrigerator, and a microwave. Our favorite feature was the guitar-shaped pool. They also have Elvis playing 24/7 along with 3 channels of Elvis movies! So fun!! If your plan is to visit Graceland, you can't go wrong staying here!

Room Tip: We loved having our room on the first floor. We just had to walk out of our room to get to the pool...

The room was clean and the staff accommodating, but the breakfast that was included was horrible. The donuts were stall, all they had was some cold cereal, and make your own waffle. They did not refill the items as they ran out. Because of this we had to go out and pay additional monies.

We spent two nights here and have to say what great value it was.
The rooms were very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Tracy (lovely receptionist) was very helpful, there is not in the way of close by restaurants but Tracy sorted us being picked up in a pink limo to be taken and dropped back from marlowes restaurant nearby.
Would recommend.
The only let down was the sun loungers by the pool are all broken apart from two.

If you want a good evening out get a taxi to Beale Street for about $25.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view, and away from the car park.

About a block from Graceland, the lobby looks like a mini Elvis museum and there are even photos of Elvis in each room! The rooms are spacious and the staff is helpful, friendly and HONEST. My aunt lost a diamond earring in the bedding and it was found and returned by the housekeeper. Love the guitar shaped pool too!

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side are much quieter.

Stayed here since it was so close to Graceland, about a block and a half away. Motel was clean and bright. Lobby is like an Elvis museum. Room was clean with a good king size bed. Only drawback is the bed is about 3 feet high. Nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. Lots of space in the room too.

The breakfast choices were very limited. If you are trying to stay away from carbs, go somewhere else for breakfast. Cereal, waffles, toast and English muffins was pretty much all there was.

Pool is shaped like a guitar.

Not much else around. I don't know if I would venture out much at night around there.

My mother and I drove across country and this was the worst hotel we stayed in.Firstly, we had an issue with the booking agent. We called specifically to ask if they were pet friendly. From there, the agent gave us a price and insisted we booked with her. The price was decent so I went for it. We checked in, the price was more than I expected but after driving all day I just went with it. Later we had to call because the television didn't work. When the front desk clerk heard the dog bark, she was very nasty to my mother about it. She explained that we booked on the phone and told them about the dog. To which she replied that they dont recieve that information. And we would know that how? So they charged us even more money for the room. The motel was run down, in an unsafe area and overpriced. Days Inn should be ashamed to charge so much for a outdated, unkempt room. The ceiling was held up with exposed dry wall screws. The bathroom outlets did not work. The ceiling was falling down. There was a hideous smell in the room covered by air freshner. There was a lamp in the room which lost it's knob and rather than remove it, they just left it in the room and unplugged it. Our view was the hoarders that lived next door and a pile of all hotel furniture covered by tarps. The place was not landscaped or maintained. All the exterior and interior paint was peeling. The whole experience was a nightmare and we could not get out of there soon enough. Honestly, if we were not so exhausted from driving all day we would have just left. Unfortunately, this ruined our whole experience of Graceland and Memphis. We have no desire to return to this are or another Days Inn or their other chain of hotels any time soon.
