Have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have never had and issues. The location is great!
It's within walking distance to Beale Street and the river. Good workout facility. The room is little worn down but very clean. The Madison roof top has the best view. Carlos at the Twilight bar (yes, the same guy from the Westin bar) is hilarious and our favorite bartender in Memphis. His service was outstanding and we want to bring him home. Downtown Memphis is the best for great restaurants and live music.

Another great stay. Second time this month. Moved from the Peabody to here. Service great, rooms clean and well redecorated. Highly recommend this place. Hands down the best roof top views in the city. I suggest you eat the green tomatoes Benedict.

My husband and I stayed at the Madison for the weekend, upon valeting or car to check on we were upgraded to a suite with river view. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. We were given two $10 vouchers for the restaurant in the lobby, and had breakfast there, which was good. The rooftop lounge was a great place I take in the sunset and have a drink or two.

Thank you for your review. I am glad you had a great weekend at the Madison in your Riverview King Suite. The rooftop bar, Twilight definitely has the best view in Memphis. Look forward to seeing you again.

We had a nice big room on the 14th floor with a large bathroom and a view of the river. We booked a junior suite but hadn't expected a view so this was a pleasant surprise. I didn't like the decoration of the room but it was clean and comfortable. We paid a good price so overall it was a positive experience. There were a few things that could have been better. There was a rug in the room that was a trip hazard that we had to move ourselves. Our room was cleaned on one of the days but there were no bath towels and it took two attempts to get towels delivered. There was a chocolate on the first night's turndown but not after that. Breakfast was expensive, even with a $10 discount voucher, and the food was disappointing. The door staff weren't the most helpful. The valet parking was expensive but the Brinkley garage round the corner is $6 and at the weekend on street parking is free.

I stayed on the 16th floor in a suite for 3 nights in June 2014. I have traveled for business and pleasure and stayed at many luxury hotels over the years. This was an outstanding property. The hotel is beautiful (more transitional/contemporary in decor vs traditional/stuffy). The room was spacious with a separate room with a siting area, desk, tv and fridge. The bed was comfortable. The bath was a wonderful spa oasis with a huge shower and large tub. The staff was great. It was easy to walk to major attractions, and we spent time at the local theater, baseball stadium and enjoying music and entertainment on Beale Street. We felt safe walking around, even at night, and we saw many police officers just keeping a watchful eye over the tourist areas. Money saving tips: this is a luxury hotel...it is NOT a property that includes free parking and an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. Luxury hotels, as a general rule, do NOT include these things in the price unless you get a package deal. My friend did find a buy-two nights get one free for our stay, and our package did include free wifi. There was also parking deck just around the corner...Brinkley, I think...that was $6 a day versus the valet parking at the hotel. Also, the hotel had a restaurant on the property, and the food we ordered was very good. They also had a pool, but we were too busy doing other things to check it out. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar...it was a great way to enjoy a drink and look at the city in a cool, relaxing space.
