The Stax Museum features great video presentations and a tremendous display of memorabilia spanning soul music history in Memphis. You need to give yourself time to wander, listen and read as there is a lot to take in. But if you are a music fan it will be time well spent.

So especially memorable for us to go back. They didn't confiscate him to add to the relic collection but it was close. Great trip. Charter High School nearby. Benefits community.

The Stax Museum features outstanding video presentations and a tremendous display of radios, records, instruments, clothing and photos spanning Memphis music history from the '20s to present day. Rockabilly is also featured - how could you ignore Sun in any Memphis history presentation? The audio guides you through each exhibit and allows you to play dozens of original songs in total. Another must visit in Memphis!
