This is one of the newest museums Memphis has to offer. It is located in the heart of downtown in the only train station left in town. It is located in what was the old baggage tunnel underneath the tracks. The tunnel itself is somewhat long but they have only developed a small area so far. However, future expansion and more exhibits are planned. Close to Beale St. and several excellent restaurants as well as some other attractions it is worth the visit.

We love traveling around and doing different things in our home town, and figured this was something different. We really didnt expect much but turned out to be a very fun and entertaining place to spend your afternoon.

You will not find yourself wandering here for hours (unless you son loves trains as much as mine does), but it is a very interesting museum with lots of room for growth. It taps into a rich vein of history in the Memphis area and has some entertaining hands-on displays. They are clearly working hard on it and the guides have a lot of information and stories to talk about. It is well worth a stop by and in an enjoyable area of downtown that is worth a visit generally. Great place

This is a fairly new museum, it's small but great for train lovers young and old. We brought my train-loving toddler who had a blast. They have historical exhibits, model trains, and even a little area that features Thomas the Tank Engine and a train table. We had a guided tour and spent over an hour here (although some of that time was spent playing at the train table). There is a lot of hard work and enthusiasm being out into this growing little museum.

This is a nice stop if you have a child that is into trains, take a trolley ride afterward to complete your train and trolley experience!
