First of al a nice old hotel in a good location. The staff was first class.. The lat out of our room was weird at best. A long narrow area with a kitchen seemingly squeezed in half of it. My wife and I were talking a couple days after and we both said the same thing."Why wasn't the door over there and the bed over there ?" Having said that it is what you expect from a Marriott Residence.

We are happy you like the hotel location! We are very lucky to have such great attractions and restaurants just steps away!

Thank you for your feedback for the room layout, The Residence Inn is listed on the National Historic Registry so each room is a little different due to the nature of the historic building.

We hope to see you again

My wife and I, and another couple, stayed here for 3 days in January, 2017. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen and living room. It was wonderful... very roomy and clean, with everything you could need. Each couple had their own bedroom and bath, etc and the hotel is within easy walking distance of Beale st, or you can pick up the Main st trolley right outside their doors and take that.

Better than all that was the hotel staff. A man named Carl greeted us at the desk when we first got there and he went out of his way to be helpful, and give us advice about things to do in Memphis. He also gave us a small discount for drinks in the hotel bar and told us to visit April there later. We missed her on Friday, but stopped in on Saturday and she was was wonderful too. Just friendly and helpful, chatting with us about Memphis, or life in general etc. I have to say, this was really a great stay - in part due to the facility, but really over-and-above due to the people. To put it simply, they were friendly. What more could you ask for?

This is a great location when coming to Memphis. Convenient to the Airport and Graceland. Trolley right in front of the hotel, Walking distance to Beale Street. Our very nice room overlooked the park. Staff helpful. Valet friendly and fast. Very nice stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Room tip: Highly Suggest valet parking (parking garage is 2 blocks away) Trolley to Beale St right in front of hotel (cost $2 cash)

OK - I have never in my entire life stayed at a hotel that has more kind and genuine people staffing the place. They all were hilarious and completely welcoming. Don't even get me started on the room - it was comfy, but with plenty of room. We had a "suite-type" room, but at such an affordable price. There was a kitchen (oven, fridge, microwave, whole she*bang) and a sitting area with a super nice bathroom. This hotel is in an AMAZING location and you can get anywhere by either a short walk or short trolley/bus ride. The rooms were nice, but the staff truly made the experience!

My family got together to see Memphis play basketball and takin downtown Memphis for the weekend. The hotel was situated approx a10 - 15 minute walk to the forum and Beale St.
The hotel was very clean and staff outstanding.
It was built in 1930 and had lovely charm and character. I would love to stay there again.
Also their free breakfast was much better than most hotel breakfasts.
