Visiting the King's home, we stayed in this great motel just 15 minutes walk from it. The rooms were very big and super clean. The entry for pedestrians and vehicles was secured. The outside pool was very clean and shaped like a guitar (illuminated at night, awesome). The owners were very kind. The price for the situation was correct ($100/night). Would go back there for my next Graceland stay.

Loved the gated Hotel, no outsiders can enter unless they are a booked guest with room key. Clean hotel, suitable for families. Free breakfast could be better. Clean salt water pool. Stayed during Elvis week and it was perfect. I never had to drive once arriving in Memphis! Would recommend. Taco Bell is right beside hotel, and KFC across road.

Room Tip: They are only 2 levels. Ground is much easier.

We got into Graceland pretty late in the evening after driving all day from Michigan and first stopped at the Motel 6 around the corner. Our friend has a rule that he will not sleep in a hotel unless the hotel agrees to show us a room. Well after looking at the Hotel 6 room we decided that the place was sketchy and when we decided that we needed something better we went searching down Elvis Presley Boulevard. We stopped at two other hotels asking for rooms and they were either outrageously priced or not up to our standards. When we finally got to the Econo Lodge the man at the front desk assured us that his hotel rooms were clean and the best. He told us the price and then my husband said it was a little out of our budget and the man dropped the price by $25. This alone was so awesome. We had run into rude hotels before this so this was a nice surprise but he would not agree to show us the hotel room. We were still concerned so the man said that we can get the room and if we don't like it he will give us a 100% refund. We agreed being so tired and signed the paperwork. The parking lot is secure and clean and you have a huge gate protecting you. Once we opened the door to our very moderately priced room we were astonished. It was huge!!! and CLEAN!!!! What a wonderful surprise. The bed was pristine and clean, lots of pillows, a big tv with lots of channels and the bathroom had wonderful water pressure. We slept like babies and woke up refreshed.
Here is the kicker that made everything even more better. In the contract for the room it clearly states that check out is at 11am and if you are later than that you will be charged $10 every extra hour. We woke up a little late and got breakfast before heading over to Graceland for the Elvis tour. It was a bit more crowded than we expected there so I called the Econo Lodge to inform them that we cleaned out our room completely but just didn't officially check out. (we didn't because we weren't sure if after breakfast we were going to stop back or not so we packed everything up just in case but ended up going straight to graceland) I was expecting her to say ok we will charge you the $10 and just drop off the key when your done but she said that it was no problem, she thanked me for calling to let them know and she then said that she would not charge us the $10 an hour as long as we promised to bring back the key. DEAL!!! I just think that this place was really kind and honestly a very good room for the price so close to Graceland. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Try bartering for a cheaper rate in person.

Nice staff. Nice room. Nice pool area. Nice area in back with gazebo and looks like you could cook out if you wanted. Small continental breakfast but enough. Overall. Is stay again and I recommend this motel. Approx. 2 blocks from Graceland.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, the room was clean with no smells, we stayed in a non smoking room as always even though i am a smoker, but i would not dream of smoking in the room as this is a horrible smell for any other travelers. The owner Mary was ok, but she did in my opinion lack a few social skills, as she did not make you feel all that welcome, unlike the younger member of staff who made us feel welcome.
The location of the hotel itself is in an area that made us feel unsafe, although the hotel had cctv and was gated which made us feel more at ease .

We had done a search on hotels, and an hour prior to our arrival we had called to enquire on the rates for two nights. We were quoted a certain amount by the Indian gentleman on the phone. We arrived there to find an Indian lady at reception who said we must have called a different Econo Lodge to get those rates (never mind that I still had the phone and address for THIS Econo Lodge on my tablet which is how we found it) and that their rates were $40 - $50 more than what the Indian gentleman (presumably her husband) had quoted. By this time we were over travelling and after a quick chat we decided to stay. When we went back to the reception desk to advise the owner, she smirked at us as she checked us in. No smile still. Just a smirk. In the rooms the toilet seats were falling off (we had two rooms), the towels (only 2 per room!) were threadbare and small, one bag of coffee, no tea bags. Not impressed for the money.

I booked two rooms here for three nights on a Tennessee road trip. The primary aim was easy access to Graceland and also downtown memphis. It did not disappoint. The front desk staff started off on a bad foot but seemed to get a bit more friendly as time went on. The rooms were huge and had microwave and fridge which was handy. The room service was poor - clean towels every day but other than that nothing - we did not have our beds made at all during our stay - no biggie really but you sort of expect it in a hotel setting. On the plus side it is an easy walk to Graceland. It is gated which gives it a bit of a prison feel on one hand but feels secure on the other!. The breakfast is OK - nothing special but suffices. Would i stay there again? Yes if I wanted to be near Graceland. Would I recommend it? - yes - if location is what you are after but dont expect great service or hospitality

Room Tip: as far away from the road as possible, it doesnt stop night and day!!
