The hotel is probably the smallest we have ever stayed in. It was really quaint, clean, friendly staff and well run. It was one of the nicest "on the road" stays we have ever experienced. We would definitely stay there again and refer anyone traveling in that area to stay there as well. Tamika was absolutely wonderful, helpful and efficient. We spoke with her to make the reservation, check-in and check-out and she was always friendly helpful and efficient. She was also the person that attended to the breakfast area while taking care of the front desk. Quite a worker and asset to this property.

Stayed one night at the start of vacation. Location easy to get to, but not in the greatest part of town. Relatively easy to get to downtown. Facility is definitely old (only one elevator was running), but the rooms appear to be recently renovated. The bathroom was ridiculously dark and could use some TDC. Good value compared to other area hotels.

I generally stay at Best Westerns when I travel. This one was very nice. Not too far from downtown, although it is not a great neighborhood. There are many museums around including Graceland which are worth checking out. The hotel receptionist was very nice and fast at the check-in. I recommend staying here if you are staying in Memphis on a budget.

An excellent room in the downtown of any big city is usually expensive, but not here! My wife and I were looking to stay downtown following a wedding reception. But we didn't want to pay big bucks for the Peabody. We did want an upscale place that was VERY safe...remember, this is downtown Memphis...and I always want a bargain. THIS IS IT!
My wife is a real stickler for clean and I want a decent (and free) breakfast. So, this place is easy to find, easy to get in and out, but only one way in or out so it's very safe, and the folks there are friendly and easy to deal with. I was a little concerned that they let foreign tourists leave on a walking tour of downtown. I just don't think I would do that....
Memphis has lots of hotels and I have been is several over the years, including the Peabody, which I recommend for everyone at least once, but for a good, safe, clean, comfortable good night downtown, THIS is the place!
(And I have no idea what the "X" has to do with anything.)

How is anyone to qualify for bonus stay when staff are unaware how promotion works? Ridiculous self promotion by bw that they appear not to understand & or are unable to explain to customers Rules plus exclusions render it a farce. Fine print deem vast majority ineligable Bureaucracy disenfranchise the few remaining

We stayed here as the downtown options were expensive. This hotel was a great option, it is very easy to get to downtown either 20 min walk, 5 mins in a cab or the trolley (if its running). The zoo is a 5 min drive away too. Our hotel staff member Lynda was great to deal with. The hotel is clean and practical and safe.

Nice hotel about 1.5 miles from Beale Street. Trolley was not working so had to take a taxi to and from so that was a little disappointing. Not the hotels fault but still added an expense that was unexpected. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Recently updated!
