Description: While dining at The Majestic Grille you might expect to see Myrna Loy & William Powell sitting at the bar, zinging witty one-liners at each other over ice-cold martinis. Originally built in 1913 as the Majestic No. 1, a silent picture house that entertained Memphians for three decades, the restaurant gives diners a glimpse of the heady Hollywood days of ol'. From the beautifully restored Beaux Arts décor to expertly prepared classic cocktails to warm, gracious service to Chef/Owner Patrick Reilly's award wining, yet remarkably comfortable food, you find yourself feeling transported to another time. Add to that the largest private movie screen in the city showing silent films & classic movies and you're center stage in an atmosphere that reclaims the cinematic glory of the dawn of the silver screen. Named Best Restaurant, Best Brunch and Best Chef, The Majestic Grille has won accolades in regional and national press. As a community gathering spot for the Arts, The Majestic Grille offers up a dining experience that delights all the senses! Whether sipping a mimosa at our 'Ultimate' Sunday Brunch, hosting a business dinner in a private room, or watching the trolley roll by on our beautiful patio, we invite you to join us for a special dining experience in our historic downtown location. We look forward to seeing you soon, Deni & Patrick Reilly

One of us had a great meal, the other didn't. Service lacked.

My husband order a rare steak and asked what rare means to the kitchen. What he got wasn't rare.

The desserts were unremarkable.

We ran out of water long before our meal was over. Waiter never checked our wine.

Many many opportunities to have a better meal (and upsell us with bourbon, etc after dinner).

I can't recommend a meal here.

Me and my wife had a wonderfull night. Very good service, excellent food - one of the best filets I ever had.
The location a little bit off Beale street is good for a change if went to the street many times. Paid parking close by.

Our experience was poor from beginning to end. We were shown to a poorly situated 2 person table-when we asked for a larger table we were told they were for larger parties, however, shortly after our arrival 2 booths near us has 2 person parties seated. The food took forever to arrive and the excuse was that there was a large party in the establishment. The food when it did arrive was not hot and not very tasty either. The coffee was undrinkable. We hardly touched our cups-one sip was enough. We complained-the waitress did not remove the cost from our bill. To end the night the bill came with a built in 20% tip. We questioned it-and were told it was an "oops". Were they hoping we would not notice?

We went here for lunch. Wanted to see the Beale Street area during the day. We are not big night life kind of people. We had salads. I had the cob he had the shrimp salad. Neither was spectacular but both were good. Large and fresh. Our waiter, Kevin, was very nice. When he brought the check he asked if either of us would like an iced tea to go. I loved this. I ask for this a lot and get mixed reply. The fact that he offered was huge for me. So I give it a four. Also, they have both inside and outside dining. The outside looked nice but, alas, I'm married to an inside kind of guy.
