This is a really nice park located on Mud Island. It hugs the Mississippi River and is a great place to watch the sunset from. You can often spot large barge loads being pushed up or down river, and if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of either a Coast Guard buoy tender or the Mississippi River's cruise boat, the Mississippi Queen.
A lot of people run the trail that follows the park, and there is a cross country trail down on the grassy area of the park that has been carved out by people running.
The park itself is pretty safe, as it is patrolled on a regular basis by MPD.
