We don't live far from here and we chose to do a modified Staycation here. Beautiful boutique inn with plush decor, luxurious bedding, and a lovely spot in Harbortown. The rooftop Terrace was recently redone and is a great place for a cocktail - fantastic views of the Mississippi River! The restaurant on-site, Paulette's, is a Memphis institution. Great breakfast included in the room rate.

They offer a locals rate.

We stayed at the River Inn two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is situated in a safe residential area outside of downtown Memphis along the Mississippi River. There is a green way across the street along the river which is great for walking. Downtown Memphis is more than a walk but just a short drive or cab ride away. The service at the inn was superb from the complimentary glass of wine at check in to the friendliness of the front desk staff and the nightly truffles and port wine in your room. The included cook to order breakfast can't be beat. Be sure to try their grits! Kudos to our waiter, Patrick, who couldn't have been more hospitable. We also dined at Paulette's one evening. The food and service were outstanding as well. Stop by The Terrace overlooking the Mississippi for drinks. Although it can get noisy when busy the views are great. Our server Odalys took the time to converse with us and was very attentive. Don't hesitate to book this property!!

Came into Memphis without a reservation and found this boutique hotel on trip advisor while partying on Beale street. I'm really glad we found this place. The 28 rooms couldn't possibly be more charming and the attention to detail is evident in everything. From the live pianist in the lobby to the intimate little bar, to the Out of this world excellent breakfast at Paulette's restaurant, the experience is world class. I can see why this is the best hotel in Memphis. All this at a very reasonable price although the real value is probably twice the regular room rate. I'm a huge fan, and can't wait for an excuse to return.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely single night in Memphis (wish we had stayed longer) on our way further east. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, all of the staff were helpful and genuinely hospitable. Our meals were excellent (we dined at Paulette's for dinner as well as breakfast), and the view from our room couldn't be beat. I had a great night's sleep to boot. We were a little leary of the price since it was beyond our usual budget, but we were both glad we splurged, it was worth a little extra.

Room Tip: Get a river view on a higher floor if you can, and if you can't enjoy a few drinks at the Terrace bar during sunset. Amazing!

The hotel staff was 100% welcoming from the time me and my girlfriend walked in until we walked out. We were offered a glass of wine as soon as we checked in. We had the most amazing view from the penthouse suite of the river. Excellent food at their cafe and really good drinks at the "little bar". The room was super clean and the beds and blankets were super comfortable. After returning from a night on beale street there was chocolate and two glasses of wine waiting for us. The value we got here far exceeds other places in memphis and I plan to stay here every time I visit the area.

Room Tip: Their are really good cocktail specials during happy hour at their bar.
