Owner description: Myddfai Community Hall & Visitor Centre is a lottery funded state of the art Centre, built in 2011, set in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. It has huge hall, ideal for conferences, parties and Weddings as it now also has a Civil Ceremony Licence. There is a lovely café and gift shop at the Centre, both open 6 days a week (closed Mondays- but open Bank Holiday Mondays) There are several interpretation boards covering the History and Heritage of Myddfai village- covering the Physicians of Myddfai and the legend of 'The Lady of the Lake'. There are many lovely walks in the area and the beautiful St Michael's Church is just next door and definitely worth a visit.

Visited today as part of a christening party, it was a wonderful place for celebrations
Before I headed over to the church for the ceremony we had a look around the shop at all the wonderful gifts and had a lovely coffee.

“A secret waiting to be discovered”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2013

Visited Myddfai Community Hall while in the area on business. Great cup of coffee and lovely welcome. Enjoyed learning about the history of Myddfai and the herbal remedies which are still dispensed in the centre by a full qualified herbalist.
The shop was a treasure trove of local crafts and featured beautiful products produced by Myddfai Trading Co.

I will return with my family and use the centre a base for a walk to the nearby lake with historical and mythical links.

A beautiful location which would make a wonderful celebration venue.

“Wonderful place”

What a find! We stopped for a cuppa after a bimble round searching for long lost family members. We had afternoon tea with scones which were superb. The value wss good. Around a fiver for a scone jam and cream and tea. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are changing facilities and they take cards (rare). The shop is all local goods at good prices.
