stayed in a couple of hotels in llandovery, but i got to say this is by far the best.everything was lovely, from the staff to the food to the rooms.when we arrived we were given the key to the room and i got to say we were impressed.there was a lovely big bed,tea and coffee making facilities, which you were provided lots of teabags, coffee, sugar which is unusual, wherever i,ve stayed before you only get the bare minimum, you could have had as many drinks as you wanted with the amount that was left in the room for you,and the other thing which is rare, there was several packets of biscuits and a plateful of chocolates which really give the stay a lovely touch,it,s little things like that, that go a long way, that the owners make you feel welcome.all the rooms are very spacious and all en-suite and decorated to a high standard.
the staff at the guest house couldn,t do enough for you, nothing was too much trouble, they really made you feel at home.
the breakfast was really lovely, you could have had fruit juice, cereal, fresh fruit, full cooked english breakfast(and i mean a FULL breakfast)tea, cofee etc all in the price of the room.there are so many different coffee,s there it was hard to choose one.

i feel that this hotel deserves good reviews,as they deliver an excellent service for a very fair price and would definaetly recommend this hotel

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Penygawse Victorian Tearooms when visting Llandovery for a wedding.
Once we arrived we were directed to the free parking spaces and then shown straight to our room. We did not have to check in and it was very informal. We were asked what time we wanted to have breakfast and there did not seem to be a restriction on when we were to check out the following morning. This was very handy considering we were probably going to have a late night.
The room was not the largest I have stayed in but it was adequate for a weekend. It was very clean and modern with white walls and bedlinen. Not a floral curtain in site. The room was equipped with a CD player and a DVD player - again this was surprising for a small town B&B.
The en-suite was amazing. It was nearly the size of the main room with a two man shower cubicle with the best shower I have ever had. It was a tower shower which had two heads and it also had nozzles directing water all over the body. It was the best thing after a long day.
Breakfast was very plentiful and delicious.
Check out was again informal and involved dropping the money off as we left. The B&B will only take cash or cheque.
If I ever need to go to Llandovery again I will stay here again.
