“Fab fun for kids and adults too”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

Visited ar y bel to accompany friend and her two kids (age 2 and 5). Was very surprised as I'd read the reviews on here and wasn't expecting much.. Well I was in for a shock! Had nice food there too, reasonably priced and plenty of choice (as I'm a fussy veggie). Staff were friendly and informed us there was no timescale of our stay as it wasn't too busy on the day. Found a nice comfy sofa to sit on, kids played from 10-3.30 and didn't want to leave even then. I'm taking my teenage son and his friend soon as it's suitable for his age too.. Can't fault the venue, staff, food or facilities. I'm glad I didn't listen to reviews.. And hope others try place out for themselves. Highly recommend

“Far too expensive!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

Brought our soon who is nearly 2 and it cost £11.95 for one toddler and two adults. The facilities are good but he was too young to use most of them. I wouldn't recommend it for the price.

Our softplay equipment is suitable for ages 6 months to adults. We have a specific toddler area for children aged 6 months to 5 years with a wide range of equipment. Also any age child can play on all equipment in the larger area downstairs with close supervision. We also have a giant lego area downstairs suitable for younger children as well as a merry-go-round suitable for any age.
Our prices are very reasonable for somewhere where ALL the family can have fun in a clean and safe environment for up to 8 hrs a day (11 hrs if you came on a Thursday or Friday as we are open until 9pm), is good value for money, especially when it's raining as there is very few places to take children in the area when the weather is wet. You can even leave the premises and return the same day on the same ticket if you wished.

“Excellent”

Our granddaughter had a great time today didn't want to leave . The adults accompanying the children can go around the play area with the child it's not cramped and you dont have to crawl around like most places so the £3 cost is well worth it . Everything was clean and tidy they even had fresh clean sock for the girls as we hadn't thought to take any no extra cost for them either . It's well run and well worth going . Before we went I read all reviews and had mixed feeling about going but so pleased we went and the girls said it was one of the best they had been to and they have been to several play planets and other private ones so they now what they are talking about will have no hesitation in returning .

“Don't bother!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

Very overpriced. As a family of four it cost us £17.50 entry. Wouldn't have minded paying so much if it has been worth it. Our kids are 1 and 3 so expected to play in the tiny toddler area. We went there to escape the heat and it was boiling hot. Downstairs full of kids clearly too old to be there. Drinks we're also overpriced and the staff were miserable too. Would not recommend this place. We paid nearly £18 for a tiny, boiling hot play area. Stayed an hour and left disgusted.

As a new business with huge overhead's, and as the largest softplay centre in Ceredigion, that was purposely designed to allow adults on the equipment with children so that they can play and interact with them as well, most people appreciate that £17.90 for a family of 4 is very reasonable for somewhere where all the family can have fun in a clean and safe environment for up to 8 hrs a day (11 hrs if you came on a Thursday or Friday as we are open until 9pm), is good value for money, especially when it's raining as there is very few places to take children in the area when the weather is wet. You can even leave the premises and return the same day on the same ticket if you wished.
Children of any age from 6 months up to adults can use ALL of equipment in the large area downstairs as well, not just the toddler area. We call it a toddler area as the equipment here is only suitable for children up to 5 years, and don't want children over this age in this area. Children under this age are not confined to this area alone.
All our staff are fully trained and are friendly, welcoming and professional. There is always a manager on site. Our drinks are reasonably priced compared to other establishments and our coffees are made using real, good quality coffee beans using a professional coffee machine and this reflects on the price as well.
When there is a high capacity of children/adults in the centre, we appreciate that it does get hot here at times due to a combination of body heat and the hot weather we have had. We are currently looking in to installing an air conditioning system. This was a problem we did not foresee when opening the business in June 2013.

“Filthy, hardly any baby toys and no one available at the desk”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014

I was very disappointment after paying £3 per person to use the facilities at Ar-y-bel. There was one bouncer for my baby to use which was absolutely filthy. I was really disgusted at the lack of hygiene considering baby's play there. There was no one at the desk the whole time I was there either. Total waste of money for children under 2 I'd say and the staff should be honest about this to customers before taking people's money.

The equipment is suitable for ages 6 months up to adults. With a fantastic toddler area for babies to enjoy away from older children. All our equipment is cleaned on a daily basis as we take hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and have had numerous comments from customers about our spotless and clean equipment and facilities. The Owner and most of the staff, as mother's themselves, realise the importance of hygiene.
The reception is only constantly manned at peak times. At quieter times, as the layout is open plan, we able to view reception from all areas and as we have strict safety measures in place, there is no need to have somebody at reception constantly.
We have something for all ages at the centre as it was purposely designed to accommodate adults as well as children from 6 months of age.
