We only booked a Bronze bungalow as we were looking for a budget place to replace our normal camping holiday.
The Bungalow was spotlessly clean, Comfortable with an amazing view overlooking cliffs and out to sea. Our only little niggle was that the TV on the wall could have been a bit bigger or to have it free standing so it could be a little closer, but when you are not on holiday to watch TV it wasn't a big issue.
The staff at Gilfach were very friendly and helped with anything you needed to know or do.
Great play areas for our two Girls and we felt at ease letting them make there own way up and down to the games area and outside play area with out us being in tow all the time.
Great little pub onsite too.
We will certainly be back and will recommend to others
Chalet park is between New Quay and Aberaeron on Wales coastal path. Chalets are compact, clean and comfortable. Many chalets open on to a lawned area overlooking the sea. There is a bar/restaurant on site with good value meals. Ideal for younger children with a play park, crazy golf, tennis court and horse riding. Staff are friendly and attentive. Beware if travelling with teenagers, there's no wifi or mobile signal (you need to walk to the end of the site for mobile reception).
Had a fantastic week with all the family. 11 of us in total. The grandchildren enjoyed it so much, there was a playground with lots of equipment, a den with games, horse/pony rides and the whole area was totally safe. Ate lovely meals in the pub on site. Scenery was breathtaking, Red Kites outside the chalet, so close........ plus other lovely birds. New Quay
wasn't far for lovely sand beaches, with dolphins clearly visible, even jumped up out of the sea very close to the waters edge. Had a Dolphin spotting boat trip and saw guiillimots, awks and seals. Took Sophie our westie who was allowed on a smaller beach at New Quay. She enjoyed the beach on site as well. Accommodation was quite small, but catered for every need. If there was one criticism it is the shower, beautiful enclosure but water trickled out, very hard to bathe, would have been better having electric showers as the cold water pressure was excellent, but the hot water was from a little water heater tank. Daughter had silver 3 bed detached which was ultra-modern. Lots of room and large open plan kitchen with freezer, wall mounted large flat screen TV and proper settee etc., so worth upgrading if you can afford it. Had brilliant time and will definitely go again.
