This was a trip to Neath to research the Family Tree in Neath and Swansea and the location of Tree Tops was ideal. We stayed seven nights in this Guest House and we were very comfortable indeed. Jan allowed our two labradoor dogs to stay and an oxeygen machine for me. She has a lot of knowledge of the local area and was very friendly and helpful. The house is victorian and has been decorated in keeping with that era which is lovely. We liked the fact that the sauces and jams etc were in bottles or jars and other little touches that you expect but do not always get in a guest house. We would be very happy to come back and stay again.

A one night stay to visit my daughter who is staying here for her three month work placement. Very comfortable, lovely breakfast and Jan is looking after my daughter. I'll be back again for a longer stay and a walk on the Gower

We stayed here over one night om our way back from wales to London. We were disappointed. It has 4stars but was more like 3. Room was okej in size with a bathroom that was newly renovated. The twinbed was horrible! Too narrow (1,40cm?) and old. Blanket felt not really clean. Lots of noise from corridor. Breakfast ok. Will not go back.
Hard to find a place for dinner in walkingdistance. We walked to Neath and that took 30 min. Wifi didnt work.

Thank you for your comments but I must point out that we are inspected every year by the WTB which gave a four star rating and has done so for the last12 years and I can assure you they do not hand out these grading’s lightly. As for the bed being to narrow it is a standard size double bed. and as for it being old it is relatively new and every guest we have ever had comments on how comfortable all the beds are in every room.

The bathroom is not newly renovated it is as it was when it was created 12 years ago, it is kept in that condition because of the ladies I have cleaning, who are very good at their job

Blanket what blanket? there no blankets on the beds only throws in the summer time and I can assure you the sheets, pillow cases and towels are laundered after each and every guest and the throws are laundered regularly.

Noise from the corridor I am sorry but I if I think that people are to noisy then I do politely ask them if the would be a little quieter because there are other guests, but in this instance I had no need to because I did not hear any noise.

Dinner if you ask then I can tell you where there are good places to eat just a 5minute drive away, if you choose to walk then it is obviously going to take you much longer.

Wifi it works for every one else

I have used this guest house for the last six years and the standard has always been superb. A real Welsh welcome; comfortable beds; excellent choice in the breakfast menu which is cooked to perfection. The car parking can be a problem as the spacing is tight in the front and rear of the property. Ideally situated for touring east and west on the South Wales coast as it is a few miles from the M4. It's always a pleasant stay at Tree Tops......the only thing you can't bank on is the Welsh weather!

Room Tip: All the rooms I have stayed in have been quiet and one's choice must depend on the number of bed...

There is a cat in the house; if you are allergic, find somewhere else to stay. (This was not a problem for us.)

A standard British guest house, 19th century building; friendly hostess. Room size ordinary; 54" bed. Bathroom modern but smallish; shower stall 28"x28"!

8 parking spaces as advertised. Tight spacing, close maneuvering; but not the worst we've ever experienced.

Room freshly painted; hallways a bit tired looking. Brekakfast room nice.

Wi-fi worked fine.

Brekky hours 7-9 am. Brekky was good. Food served on warmed plates. Porridge was offered.

Room Tip: We were in room #3, away from street; quiet. Street-facing rooms may have noise (it's a busy...

Just returned from a most enjoyable week in South Wales. Our en-suite room at Tree Tops was a good size, clean and nicely furnished. We had everything we needed, including hair dryer and fan, which was welcome as we had some very hot days. The welcome tray was replenished daily with milk, tea etc, plus a variety of biscuits including chocolate biscuit bars. The full breakfast was really a platefull! We even tried laverbread and fried cockles! There was also a choice or kippers and eggs done how one wished plus the usual juice, cereal, toast, etc. Mrs Hughes was very welcoming and friendly. We have already passed on a business card to recommend Tree Tops to friends.

Room Tip: We had a back room which eliminated any main road noise.
