“Excellent B&B”
Reviewed 11 June 2013

I am writing from my room here at Bryn Holcombe, chosen based on Trip Advisor recommendations and it was well worth it. Stylish bedroom, large modern bathroom, fantastic breakfast and a warm welcoming host. Close proximity to the beach and town centre but on a quiet residential street which is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of beach front B&B's and hotels. Immaculately clean and tidy, with good quality soft furnishings and furniture. A perfect getaway in a gorgeous location. Bravo Bryn Holcombe.

Room Tip: Choose Room number 8 if you can request it, standard double but its very large and south facing its...

Another great choice of accommodation thanks to tripadvisor. If the superior room is available, it's well worth paying that little extra for the bigger room with a huge bathroom, complete with roll top bath. Just a few minutes walk to the sea and The Toad pub for a decent meal.

My husband and I came here for our first night away without the children. I chose this B&B because of the amazing bath, and I wasn't disappointed.
We had a really nice welcome when we arrived. The owner showed us to our room and it was very lovely. We had chosen the superior room and it didn't disappoint. The bed was huge and very comfy. The room was big with it so didn't feel crowded. But the bathroom was the best bit.It was huge! It had a big, deep, freestanding bath in the middle. Decor was very nice and there were small pots of toiletries of all kinds should we have needed them.
The room was very clean and tidy.
Breakfast in the morning was delicious. First a choice of fruits, cereals, juices and yogurts. Then a choice of hot breakfasts and tea or coffee. Again the owner was very friendly and polite.
Would recommend highly.

Room Tip: Choose the superior room for the bath!

We spent four nights at Bryn Holcombe in September 2012. We chose this location because of it's proximity to the highway, and also because of the excellent reviews on TA. The B&B is located on a residential street, just two blocks from the beach. There is a good-sized supermarket on the corner, and you are within walking distance to shops and restaurants. There is also a small car park, as well as on-street parking. Our room was bright and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom with tub and shower. It was cool and rainy during part of our stay, so being able to turn on the heat morning and evening was a blessing. There is free Wi-fi, and coffee/tea supplies are available in the room. A hot breakfast is cooked to order, and there are cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, etc., available as well. Eira, the owner, was very helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions. Colwyn Bay in mid-September is pretty sleepy, but it's a good launching pad for exploring King Edward's castles and the beautiful countryside of North Wales. I highly recommend this B&B!

We stayed here for a couple of days with kid. The room was clean and well kept. Bed was comfortable. Nice normal breakfast with proper care taken for toddler chair etc.

The lady is very welcoming and helpful if you need to visit around Colwyn bay or for finding restaurants.

It's a good relaxing stay.

Everything that you want from a B&B. Comfortable bed, stylish room, excellent breakfast and a really warm welcome - and all in a beautiful Edwardian villa in a quiet street only a short stroll from the sea front Can't recommend it too highly.
