“Best fish and chips in the area”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

Tried a few chip shops in the area but this is by far the best one. Good old fashioned chips and mushy peas. Fish excellent too! Well priced and good value especially for the amount of food you get. You also have the choice of a child's portion if you want it. Friendly owners and staff as well. Highly recommended.

“Ignore the bad reviews”
Reviewed 26 August 2013

Please ignore the previous bad reviews, they don't know what they are talking about!!! We had just a portion of chips tonight, and as always they were excellent. A large portion cost £1-60p, and are worth every penny,,there are always more than enough chips in the portion sizes, The quality was as usual, spot on. The actual appearance of them is admittedly , sometimes a bit on the pale side, but am reliably informed that the quality of the potatoes does change during the year, which makes sense, and so , the browning of them doesn't always come up to scratch. Apart from that, I have nothing but praise for this Chippy, consistant good food, friendly but busy staff, and competitive pricing. What more does anyone need!!!!

“Excellent!”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

Being local, we've tried all the fish and chip shops in the area, this is by far the best! The fish is out of this world, and the chips are excellent and plentiful. The staff always give us a lovely welcome. Definitely worth going to. Fantastic food, fish is cooked to order, and staff go that extra mile to please.

“Fairly average chippy.”
Reviewed 5 June 2013 via mobile

Nothing particularly good stands out here. The chips, sausages & fish are all pretty average. The mushy peas & curry sauce also about as good as you'll find anywhere. Prices have been steadily climbing over the last couple of years but then costs go up too. The owners seem nice enough, the rest of the employees just get on with their jobs slowly.
However, in comparison to The Galleon in Rhos-on-Sea the portions are bigger, better & far cheaper, and staff are friendlier too!
