If you like fish this is the place to try, the delicious portions of cod are huge and barely fit on a plate. The chips aren't the very best but are fine. Prices are very reasonable, so if you are hungry this is the place to go. There is also a wide selection of Chinese meals.

I have just had lunch here and felt compelled to review because it was so awful.

It was just under £11 for 2 fish and chips with sauces, which isn't bad but considering the quality of the food you get, it's a rip off. It took about ten minutes before they even started cooking anything, even though it was dead. The place is dirty and messy and the line of fizzy drinks they have on display are probably older than I am. The owners young children were running around and screaming. The food took about 15 minutes to cook, then it was all shoved in a bag and I left.

When I got home, the gravy had burst all over the bag because she put the tub on its side, luckily it didn't go in the car. The fish absolutely stank and had a jelly like texture to it - probably out of date. The batter was hard and incredibly greasy. The chips were overcooked, greasy and made with the crappy end bits of potato.

The gravy and curry sauce were ok, but after a bit the curry developed a very deep layer of oil!

I will never eat here again, luckily I wasn't on my lunch break because it would have been a waste of time.

This is easily the greasiest food I have ever had, and tbh even the food I ate in Egypt was better, which is saying something.

Fingers crossed the fish doesn't give us food poisoning.

Arrived in Colwyn Bay quite late on Sunday evening. This chip shop was just round the corner from the hotel. Massive portion of chips, which were cooked to perfection. Only just managed to finish them all, but didn't want to waste any.

Food is good but if you eat in you will find that when you're outside your clothes absorbed the smell from the shop.

This Chinese chippy sells decent meals which are very good value for your buck. Portion sizes are more generous than any other Bay takeaway, the meals are usually tasty and service is friendly & fast. Favourites in my family include beef in black bean sauce, hot curries, soft noodles and fried rice. The chips are also pretty good. The place itself looks a bit tacky though!
