We called in for lunch without booking and were lucky enough to get a window table with views out to sea. Everything about this pub is excellent, the service, the décor, the ambience, the cleanliness of the toilets, the range of drinks and not least the food. We both had slow roasted lamb which fell off the bone. For desert I had the pear and elderflower cheesecake which was very good. It is a pity we do not live locally as it would become one of our regulars. Not cheap but well worth the money.

Since my last visit to this restaurant and my last review, which gave them a poor rating, I must say they have improved 1000%. I had a meal there the other eveing and the food was out of this world. The presentation was excellent, the portions where large and the quality was perfect, just like the Pen t Bryn used to be like. Well do Pen y Bryn. I recommend you go and sample it for yourselves. Also they have now got a room downstairs which is excellent if you are haveing a private party or business meeting. Christmas parties here we come. Overall Excellent.

Went to Pen y Bryn , Colwyn Bay with our extended family including our daughter's in laws from New Zealand. It was a farewell meal before our daughter, husband and in laws went back to New Zealand.
Service was good and the food was excellent. We started with a shared platter of meat, bread oil and balsamic vinegar Unfortunately the beef was unavailable but the alternative choice of lamb just fell of the bone. The gluten free vege was catered for with two dishes swapped around a bit.
Most of us declined the desserts but the three who didn't declared the crème brulee and assorted sorbets very good
