This place is amazing! Clean, friendly, superb facilities (great kitchen and dining room), extremely comfortable beds with crisp white bed linen and lovely welsh wool blankets. The two sitting rooms are great, lots of good books to look at and tv, wi-fi etc for those that want it. Location brilliant. A bargain. Can't fault it. Will be back!
Tips for other travellers
We went to the giant underground trampolines "Bounce Below" in the slate mines at Blennau Ffestiniog (sorry about the spelling). It was great fun, something completely different and well worth a trip. Very energetic (we liked that!)

Great Hostel! Would love to come back some time. The bedrooms feel very cozy, the bathrooms are very nice and there's a big dining room. Very friendly staff!

"This is a very comfortable and convenient hostel. The poshest hostel I've stayed in by a long way. I particularly like their beds in the dorms; they have individual curtains and lamps for each bed so you can go to sleep with the main room light on or read comfortably after the main light has been turned off"

The hostel was exactly as described on the website. I loved the cleanliness of every area - nothing was overlooked. The beds were some of the most comfortable I have slept in and the bathrooms were excellent and always available and with plenty of hot water. The kitchen was always clean and brilliantly stocked and hence cooking in there was a pleasure which is so often not the case. I cannot think of a reason not to stay here every time I visit north Wales.

Tips for other travellers
The Siobad Cafe just down from the hostel does a brilliant breakfast with amazing views!

Brilliant accomodation very clean with comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms. Friendly staff, ready to help with inofrmation on the local area and recommendations on local places to eat, the royal oak had good food.
Very dog friendly as advertised, there was a very convienent track opposite for a quick walk which was recommended as it was dark and late.

Room Tip: We stayed in room eight, at the top of the stairs. Two bunk beds and a double bed, very clean room...
