“A pleasure to return to”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

Recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic bed and breakfast. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. And after a long days walking and scrabbling up some of Snowdonias mountains I cant think of anywhere I would rather have returned to. Our room was clean and very comfortable, and a freshly cooked to order breakfast was just what we needed to set us up for our days adventure. With shops pubs and restaurants within a short walk or drive away there was no shortage of places to have our evening meal or buy that piece of kit you forgot or just wanted. I can highly recommend this little gem of a find and next time I visit this beautiful countryside I would definitely make St Curigs Church my first choice for bed and breakfast.

What an amazing holiday. From the moment we drove into the grounds of this stunning converted church we knew our break away to capel curig was going to be the best. And we were not disappointed. The welcome we received was so warm and friendly. And we were made a cup of needed tea straight away. The room was fantastic. A four poster double bed. Never had we had such a comfortable night sleep ! The church was like everything we had hoped for and so much more. The renovation had included all the original features in its design. It has to be seen. We were taken back by its style. Breakfast was such a family affair. It was a chance to chat to the other guests and Alice and her partner couldn't do enough for everyone. We took our two dogs who had a great time. Its a great place to stay for a walking holiday. There are beautiful walks on your doorstep. And its so central to so many other towns. Our wonderful days were then brought to an end sat in a jacuzzi under the stars in st curigs surrounded by the stunning mountainous scenery. We can't wait to return.

Room Tip: A double room with a four poster bed. But there are rooms for every budget.

Just back from a full long weekend up on some of the best mountains in the Snowdon Area
booked into St.Curigs Church what a wonderfull find. From the moment we arrived to the time we left felt just like being at home.
Alice and her partner couldnt do enough for us and made us feel part of the family.

Breakfast is outstanding and great value for money with choices for everyone.
Rooms are perfect with good showers, clean and beds very comfortable.
After a day on the mountains a soak in their Hot Tub with a view of the stars & mountains as a back drop unbeatable.
Ideal location with a 10 minute walk to two pubs with outstanding food.
If your after a short or long break with a difference in a converted church with a fantastic atmosphere this is the place to go.
Great value for money & perfect hosts.
Have already booked our return for next year cannot wait.
Thanks Alice and Co........

Room Tip: All rooms have their own special character..

Just 24 hours yet feel like I have been away for several days, a quirky, fun base to explore Snowdonia. The climbing wall, hammock, beautiful pets and owners that were more like friends all made for an enjoyable stay. A room filled with an impressive library, to be awoken by a symphony of birdsong, all shape for a weekend of bliss. In a world that is filled with saccharine places to stay that are almost clinically cold, it makes for a refreshing change to stay in a home not just a house. A soulful place that I will hopefully visit again and again.

Wet (and it was) or dry, this converted church is a fantastic base for exploring Snowdonia. The 4-poster beds, stained glass windows, pulpit and bejewelled ceiling are just part of the charm. Add a warm welcome from the owners and a great breakfast and you have an almost perfect B&B.

We booked for 2 nights and stayed 3. What an amazing find. Comfortable, friendly, quirky and fantastic breakfast. The fridge in the corridor is a great addition (so nice being able to have fresh milk with our tea in the morning).

Room Tip: Loved the room with the four posters and the pulpit. Ogwen

What a fabulous B&B!! If you're the active type and like quirky, this is the place to be. It has a pretty much everything including a zip wire and hot tub in the back garden. Note the zip wire doesnt lead to the hot tub but i have added it to the suggestion box. Haha.
Indoors: its has such a warm, chilled and welcoming atmosphere. Great for groups or otherwise. NB The bunkbeds are only separated off from the main living room area by a spiral staircase and a curtain so have ear plugs at the ready if you're a light sleeper. The bunk room does however have absolutely amazing views!!
The hosts are incredibly accommodating, and welcoming, and inspiring (make sure you ready the newspaper articles on the walls). i love the fact that there are animals there, it adds to the homely atmosphere. To sum up, pay this place a visit, its a must.

Room Tip: Twin room was perfect. Really thick walls so you don't hear anything, very warm and very clean a...
