Signed up the Stalk to Fork weekend after doing the Bushcraft course. Both were excellent and I’m happy to recommend both.

The course gave me a great insight into something I’d never experienced. Jamie and guys running the course did a great job; their experience, knowledge and enthusiasm made for a interesting and very enjoyable weekend.

Plus, the food as amazing.

Jamie and the other guys running the course were extremely knowledgeable and are all natural teachers. They love what they do and seem to love sharing it with others as well. I came away having enjoyed the weekend from start to finish and with the knowledge needed to skin and butcher the deer at home with only £10 boning knife purchased at the local catering supply shop. The food Jamie prepared was amazing. Great bunch of lads. Great value for money. I will deffo book on again in the future.

I signed up for the Stalk to Fork weekend course not knowing really what to expect but it is without doubt one of the best things i’ve ever done. From start to finish, Jamie and the team make you feel very welcome and you’re immersed in to this incredible experience.

I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone and will be signing up for more courses with the Wild Bushcraft Company very soon.

Having taken a introduction to bushcraft course last year i was looking for a followup but struggling to find dates that worked. As the only course on thr dates i was available, Knife making probably wouldnt have been my first choice, but in hindsight i am so glad i picked this course.

Being your typical Millenial, my last experience of woodworking was at school and with only the most rudimentary of DIY skills and no metalworking experience, i did have a bit of trepidation heading into the course. I had no need to worry though - this is a superbly run weekend and absolutely no previous experience is required.

The Iron Age hillfort setting is spectacular and the traditional forging techniques of carcoal forges and hand bellows really gives you a sense that you are learning techniques similar to those our ancesters used on the exact same site thousands of years ago.

Ferg is like the Design Technology teacher you wished you had at school - extremely knowledgable, patient and wants you to get the most out of the experience as a student. Jamie has set up a fantastic campsite - the food was excellent and he did a great job of helping different students and ensuring nobody got left behind.

You will learn so much on this course - just book it!

First of all I have been on a few bushcraft courses and enjoyed them all thoroughly! We wanted to do a deer butchery course and learn more about how to use every part of the animal. This place delivered all and more. I can't praise this place enough, it really was a fantastic experience.

Jamie and his helper Ed ran through some knowledge about culling deer and the different breeds that you can find in the UK and even gives an insight of what each one tastes like. Then the fun begins.

Jamie carefully explains how to skin and cut the deer and then gives the group a chance to have ago themselves. The beauty of this is that as the company only take a small group for this course so everybody gets to have ago at everything that is being taught and you gain a lot of experience from it.

Just when you think the experience is over Jame actually cooks the different cuts of venison for you and lets you tuck in and might I add, Jamie is a cracking cook! Absolutely delicious!

As your parting ways they even give you the remainder of the venison to take home with you!

For what it is priced guys it is an absolute bargain!! Don't be sceptical, trust me you will absolutely love it, book it now and thank me later.

I will be coming back in the future to do the "stalk to fork" one of the very few places I have seen that do the hunting to killing from start to finish.

Thanks again Wild Bushcraft Company!
