I stayed one night whilst working locally, Firstly it was nice to have secure off road parking. The room I stayed in was a good size with a ensuite, corner shower with thermostatic temperature control, A warm and friendly welcome and a first class breakfast. If I am in the area again I would most certainly stay here again if available.

We stayed at Plas Ifan for 2 nights and were very pleased with our stay here. The reviews led me to believe it was good, but it proved to be even better. The owners were away, so it was left in the very capable hands of Julie and Andy who were the perfect hosts. A very warm welcome and a helping hands with our bags and they could not do enough for us. Great recommendations of where to eat depending on your tastes. The following morning a really good breakfast with local sausages and eggs and again some great local info on places to visit. As some guests were leaving Julie and Andy even offered to drop them down to the railway station, which shows how good they really are as many host's hospitality stops at their door, but not here. The gardens are lovely with little hidden parts. many places only give you the barest minimum of tea and coffee making facilities, again plenty of milks, good coffee and not sachets and decant tea bags and a bottled water.
After a long day out and about we relaxed in the conservatory reading the various national papers that are laid our for the guests to read before going out for something to eat. Julie popped her head around the door and offered both of us a glass of wine as she had just opened a bottle. Marvellous people and warm hospitality and perfect host. We were waved of this morning as if we were good friends for ages not just 2 days. It was a real pleasure staying here.

Plas Ifan is a lovely, quirky, homely B&B in a listed building in Prestatyn. Its proprietors are very friendly and welcoming. The garden is beautiful and we were made welcome to walk around it. Great breakfasts. We can highly recommend Plas Ifan.

The proprietors were out when I phoned Plas Ifan, but I was given instructions how to get into the property and make myself comfortable. It's a converted chapel, with a notable conservatory extension that looks into a splendid garden consisting of a lawn surrounded by a fine variety of trees and shrubs. In fact, you easily forget that you are in a town noted for being a seaside resort, but almost feel as though you are in a country house. My room was fairly basic, and quiet too, as it looked out onto the garden. I was offered an early breakfast, which I much appreciated, and I found it most relaxing to eat in the conservatory, surrounded by greenery. It's even good in the rain! In fact, the only thing I wasn't really keen on were the plastic-backed undersheets on the bed. I rarely come across these things, but I find them uncomfortable, with a tendency to become clammy and sticky. With 'normal' cotton sheets I'm sure I would have rated the sleep quality higher.

Reaching the end of the Offa's Dyke path is a dream at any time all 182 miles of it but this b&b is a real find! Cosy, snug, peaceful, fabulous garden. Warm welcome and yum breakfast. Spacious en suite room with all amenities.
Malcolm and Swan terrific hosts and if I'm back that way would always try there for accommodation before anywhere else. Thoroughly recommendable!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Walnut Room and thought it really special.

Would highly recommend Plas Ifan, especially to walkers on Offa's Dyke as it is situated on the path. Pleasant room and with beautiful gardens - nothing is too much trouble for the owners- Malcolm even took our heavy bags to the station in the morning.

Plas Ifan was our last overnight stay on the Offa's Dyke Path. The hosts are both lovely people and gave us a very warm welcome. The twin room had a very good shower. The bed was comfortable too. The room was nicely decorated and spacious. Breakfast consisted of a large full English, which included the best sausage of the entire 9 days, fruit, toast and cereal. The dining area overlooks the stunning garden. Offa's Dyke path runs right outside the B&B
