Amazing day from start to finish. All staff could not have been more attentive. Day and evening reception held there and food was top quality and all guests served together with piping hot food, no tables were kept waiting. Food was top quality. Hotel and bedrooms are smart clean and lots of vintage antiques. A wonderful day and night was had by all! Many thanks to Peter, Paul and all the staff.

We got married at the Plas Hafod on 13July 2013 we had a perfect day , thanks to the staff and a special thanks to Paul who looked after us and was always on hand. From the ceremony right through to the comfortable room , ample and tasty breakfast everything was first class, and with lovely grounds to walk round this made for the best wedding venue
Just hope my husband books for a return visit for our first wedding anniversary.

We stayed at Plas Hafod for a weekend, and also attended a family celebration that was held there. The care and service from the staff is really excellent - and indeed beyond. After a full Welsh breakfast and the family lunch, we only needed a light supper - but it was Saturday night and very busy. We tentatively asked if there was any possibility of something and were kindly offered various options that the kitchen could do for us - all more than acceptable and just what we needed - without being made to feel in any way that we were being difficult.
The food we had all weekend - including at the family celebration - was excellent and very reasonably priced.
The room we had (French) was spacious and definitely furnished in a French period style! But comfortable and with everything we needed.

Room Tip: We had the French room - plenty of space!

stayed a night dinner bed and breakfast in the George the fifth room. Yes it only has a bath with shower attachment, limited hanging space in the wardrobe and a simple key to secure the room but the olde world feel to the accommodation is part of the charm of the place!!
The staff we met from the moment we arrived (and ended up having a sandwich lunch and a pint) to checking out were a credit to the hotel and the many family members who run this establishment.
Food even though the hotel was busy was hot, fresh, well presented and a enjoyable!!!!
If you want clean modern amenities and not to be spoken and engaged with by staff then this is not the place for you......if you want the smell of brasses and old fashioned polish, don't mind creaking floorboards, love to chat with people who want you to enjoy good food and drink then it a charming place to stay.

We had our wedding at the Plas Hafod on Saturday 8th March 2014 and we could not have had a more perfect day. The food, the venue, and the staff can not be faulted and the attention to every detail of our day was second to none. We can not recommend Plas Hafod highly enough and would encourage anyone wanting a perfect wedding to visit!

Sunday roast early evening. Two courses for £12.95 with a good selection for both starters and main meal. The tower of fish to start was very nice and we had the beef and lamb. I would have preferred a few more veg but I have no doubt if we had asked they would have brought more. The staff were attentive and very pleasant. I like the place.

First time every reviewed a hotel, but couldn't not as the place was fantastic and the Staff were amazing. The rooms and food were great and a great place to relax and unwind.
Have been to the hotel 3 times now and feel so welcome every time I go there.

As stated, the staff are brilliant, (Alison and Paul in particular ) very friendly, down to earth and will go above and beyond for you....

Am back again in May and they definitely make the business trips more bearable

Thanks guys
