Summers of 1968 and 1969 and 5-7 of us would travel from Liverpool to Loggershead and stay for long weekends under canvas, throughout the years it has always been remembered with great memories. As young lads (13 years old) from West Derby Road this place was heaven. The bus journey from Liverpool seemed to take an age but we had the tents up and fire lit before it got dark and dinner on the go even if it was raining! Went back last year (took a detour on way to Liverpool from home in London) and spent the next four hours as I roamed remembering places from the 1960's. Memories came racing back and it's still seems like a magical place to visit. For those who have not been make the effort to go and just soak in the peace and quite and enjoy the walks it really is brilliant. So instead of sitting at home make the journey and enjoy yourself!
