old padeswood is a well established woodland course. it used to have a reputation of being very wet in the winter, but the appointment of a new head green keeper has remedied all the drainage problems, and as wet as this winter has been, the course has only had to close for a couple of days when nature was wreaking havoc. the clubhouse provides all the usual bar snacks and meals for before and afters when you are golfing.for anyone wishing to join the club and play on a casual basis, there is a society within the club called the high nooners who meet every Tuesday and Thursday, and play friendly, but competitive golf. weekends see the usual medal and stableford comps for the more serious golfer. well worth a visit.
