Description: The Coconut Kitchen, located in the village of Abersoch in Wales, is renowned for its fresh, aromatic Thai cuisine. The dining room at The Coconut Kitchen - decorated with Oriental lamps and dark wooden furniture overlooks the harbour and has a warm, intimate vibe perfect for cosy dining, and the restaurant is a popular place for dates, nights out with friends and dinner parties. We love the innovative menu, and popular dishes include the char-grilled coriander sirloin steak with a garlic and chilli sauce served with stir-fried greens and sweet potato crisps; the King Prawn Panang Curry cooked in a creamy red curry sauce with lime leaves and Thai sweet basil; and the delicious lemongrass and ginger crme brulee.

“Fantastic as always”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

The coconut kitchen has got to the one of the best places to eat in north wales at the moment . Food is consistently of a very high standard , the service is spot on and the whole dining experience is as always is very good. Thai food at its finest but using quality local ingredients.
Paul and his team always do their very best to look after you.
We booked three weeks ago for six of us even then we could only get an early table 6 pm so make sure you book early as it's very busy.
If your going to have one meal somewhere on the Lleyn then this is the place.

Lovely small intimate restaurant, aunthentic Thai, these people are obviously passionate about Thai food, gorgeous small restaurant, great staff, ordered a take away and went to collect with my day, we were a bit early so asked if we could have a beer at the bar and wait, made to feel so so welcome, got home and the takeaway was lovely it really was. Well don't guys and thanks.

Terrific food the best Thai outside London great service despite being very busy. Interesting that the staff are consistent from year to year - the sign of a well run and successful operation, now a reliable and favourite unmissable spot!

“Thai food”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Not a classy place but good food and friendly. Not many places to eat in Abersoch so, if there for a few days and want to vary your restaurant, you have to come here. Best to book. If you like Thai food, you won't be disappointed

“Delicious”

Such delicious food - make sure you book (and try the beef massaman!). A bit pricey but the food is locally sourced & worth the price tag.
