“Gorgeous house. Great holiday.”
Reviewed 21 January 2018 for a stay in October 2017

We have stayed here twice and enjoyed it thoroughly. The house is very well kept, clean and comfortable. A home from Home. The views are spectacular which allows you to sit and relax, recharge the batteries. There’s plenty of things to do and good places to eat. Our little breaks here have catered for all ages. My parents and In- laws enjoyed their time here and space within the house whilst our young children enjoyed the beach and playing hide and seek in the house. The house is huge with gorgeous period features. We will be visiting again. Thanks for having us!!

“Wonderful Property, Fantastic Location, Great Value”

Sometimes you go somewhere for a holiday and feel a real affinty to the place and the area youre stopping in, like a home from home.

Well this is exactly how me and my party felt stopping at the view.

The property is in such a beautfoiul location right next to the beach with magnicent views across the bay (Make sure you use the binoiculars in the property). Its also very well located as a base for the whole of the area, you never have to travel to far, we visited Port Merrion, Harlech Castle and Beach, Black Rock Sands, Pwehelli and also Criccieth itself.

The property itself is very spacious done to a good finish and parking was never an issue (we had 3 cars between us)

Inside the property downstairs youll find a huge open pkan kitchen diner lounge, obviously the most used room in the house. Theres everything you need in the kitchen, utensils, dishwasher, microave and a choice of an Aga or standard oven and hob, big fridge freezer and a lovely large welsh drsser complete with games and information of the local area. The lunge has plenty of seating and a smart TV.

There is also a double bedroom with ensuite downstairs.

On the first floor is a bedroom with bunk beds for the kids, a seperate nbatheroom and toliet, a douyble bedroom with ensuite and a lovely large lunge with amazing views, this lounge is very comfortable and what we called the lazy lounge, we did most of our ' soc8ilaising in the downstairs kitchen , diner loungem and tended to chill in this room or watch TV.

On the next floor are 2 more bedrooms one a twin (that can become a king and one doyble with seperate bathroom and toilet.

On the top floor is the ' Penthouse suite ' alas we didnt pay for this room but on the pictures it looks fantastic.

Externbal to the property is a back yard (I suggested to the Owners that the raised area of the back yard could make a lo9vely seating area in the evening) which contains bins and recylcing, and at the front of the property (if you get the weather) is a lovely seating area were you can chat to neighbours or passersby and drink a lovely cold beer.

For shortcuts through criccieth and to avoid the hills, there are some guinnels behind the property which lead to playing fields, a play park for the kids, a path to the top oif the hill opposite the castle and a 9 hole pitch and putt, there are several guinnels that lead to different parts of the town (we only discovered these on day 3 but they made adifference)

Our recommendations in Criccieth are the Castle Pub, The Malaysian Restauraunt Mei's, Tir a Mor cafe, Cadwellers (for Ice Cream) an the local butchers.

Theres an Aldi, Lidl and Tesco's 4 miles down the road in Portmadog and a local coniveince store on Criccieth high street for essentials.

All in all we loved our stay in this house, highly recommend it, and also the area we fell in love with

“Great house in a perfect location!”
Reviewed 1 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

This house is situated across the road from the beach at Criccieth with wonderful sea views from both lounges. It is a short walk to Criccieth's famous castle and Criccieth's blue flag beach, although the beach outside the house was just as lovely. We had a great beach bbq there one evening. Criccieth has a number of interesting shops & coffee houses as well as a bakery with lovely bread & cakes & a Post Office which sells newspapers, although there is a newsagents too. It also has the first Cadwallader's coffee & ice cream parlour, with amazing ice creams!

We were a family of us grandparents, 2 parents & 5 grandchildren aged 9 to 2years. The house was ideal for us, plenty of space, comfy beds, soft towels, strong showers, good kitchen facilities with ample crockery & cutlery. We were able to use the clothes lines outside most of the time but there is also a hanging airer in the kitchen. The kitchen is part of a massive room with one of the lounge's at the opposite end looking out to sea. Both lounges have tvs. One bathroom on the 3rd floor has a wonderful sea view from the bath which our grandchildren loved!

We ate at Dylan's twice. Great food, good ales, beautiful views across the sea, but you must book, especially if you want to be inside.

Criccieth is so central and we spent 3 hot sunny days on beaches at Criccieth, Blackrock Sands & Hell's Mouth, all highly recommended. And the 4th good day, we visited Caernarfon Castle - a must! Well worth a visit, the kids loved it, & an attractive town too. 2 days we had mixed weather & visited Dwyfor Rabbit Farm 2 miles from Criccieth, which the kids all really enjoyed. Not just rabbits but other animals to feed & pet.

We would certainly recommend & return to The View! Fabulous holiday home in a great location! I understand it is also pet friendly.

“Absolutely beautiful setting - loved it!”
Reviewed 7 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We booked The View for a surprise trip for my dad's 60th birthday and wow we loved it! Such an amazing property in a perfect setting the house had everything we needed. Loads of space for us all and the kitchen was a great social area. Loved sitting in the upstairs living room of an evening and listening to waves crashing. We had great weather during the day and enjoyed sitting out of the front in the sunshine enjoying a drink. The whole family loved it here and we are definitely looking to book again. Can't wait to come back!!!
