Enjoyed a lovely wedding at Bron Eifion. Weather matched the lovely venue. Facilities are superb for a small or large wedding. The balcony area was bathed in glorious sunshine and made the day perfect.
Staff lovely food great 10/10. Everything was excellent.

Attended a wedding at this hotel set in beautiful grounds. Weather was perfect and we were able to enjoy and soak up the sunshine as the hotel has a wonderful patio and seating area adjacent to the bar and function room. The attention to detail was very impressive and as the hotel had been exclusively hired by the bridal party we felt very relaxed and enjoyed every bit of the day.The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble even with over 120 guests attending. The food was very good and the bar prices very reasonable. Top marks and thank you for a lovely day!

Sited about 1 mile from the town of Criccieth in beautiful gardens. Previous home of a slate magnate who exported to the USA in return for timber. Oregon pine is a great feature of the panelling giving a lovely "manor house" feel. We were a party of 6 golfers arriving in what is low season. Our twin was well equipped and the beds extremely comfortable although not separated by very much! Rooms on the second floor had sloping ceilings and other party members took some time to adjust! The restaurant is a huge conservatory which dwarfed our party and the other 3 couples who dined. My food of grilled sea bream with shellfish risotto was superb, others had chicken and steak which were good. Main courses around £15-25, wines from £20 and up. With our alcohol consumption this was the only night that we ate in! Breakfast service could be slow, cornflakes, fruit juice, coffee etc. were all served individually and the kitchen is a long way from the restaurant . A self serve buffet here would have speeded things up (and allowed guests to meet one another). I was disappointed to find my scrambled egg was re-constituted (at £16 for breakfast if you are not a guest) this is not acceptable and coffee sometimes arrived lukewarm. Golfers note that there are no drying facilities or storage for clubs although Mary, the owner offered us towels for club drying.
With its lovely grounds and huge atrium restaurant this makes an ideal wedding venue and in season there would be a far greater "buzz". Would I stay again? Yes if Criccieth was my goal, other local hotels were based in the town and I doubt staying there would offer the same peace and serenity. It's all in the detail...

Room Tip: Rooms 15 and 16 have limited headroom in bathroom.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel many times and will keep on going back. All I want to add to my previous review, which still seems to get read, is that their AA grading has been altered. I said in a previous review that it was 2-star because of a lack of a lift, 24 hour reception and swimming pool. The AA have at last recognised that small hotels like this, which are often listed buildings, cannot make such adaptations either on the grounds of cost and/or are unable to make alterations due to their listed status. So they have introduced a new grading system and this hotel is now classed as a 4-star Country House Hotel. This properly reflects its quality.

Room Tip: They have only one ground floor room that avoids having to climb stairs. It has its own access dire...

Used to stay here on business some years ago, decided to do so again for two nights with a visitor from overseas while visiting the area. We were both extremely impressed with all aspects of the hotel - the rooms, the quiet, the staff (who were first-class) and the wonderful food. Highly recommended!!
