“Brilliant stay!!!”
Reviewed 9 June 2010

Stayed midweek with my partner, and I have to say, the hotel was incredible. It did exactly what it said on the tin.... Breathtaking views, exquisite food, opulent decor and service to a level which my partner and I have failed to find anywhere else. After stopping for two nights, we decided to extend our stay for a further night! The location in north wales in brilliant, close enough to betws-y-coed and pwhelli, although the small town of criccieth offered more than adequate entertainment. Genuinely, we do not often write reviews, but we were so pleased with the hotel that we felt we had to express our delight. The staff were extremely helpful and made sure our every need was catered for, the only slight thing was that the restauraunt was being worked on, which meant there was some building work being done. However, the manageress did everything in her power to make sure this was of no significance at all, and showed us what the plans were for the restauraunt - something we look forward to seeing! We will definitely be staying at the hotel again, there really were no faults at all! Loved everything about our break, cannot wait to stay again, and we're already excited about what this stunning restauraunt will turn out like!!! Brilliant!!!!

Having had our flight to Bangkok cancelled, my husband and I drove South from Scotland just to go somewhere. Hugely pleased to have found Bron Eifion The hotel management team went out of their way to make us and other guests feel very welcome. We loved the delicious locally sourced food and the lovely gardens and spendid four poster bed in our room. We were fortunate to enjoy beautiful weather and visited lots of places round about including Snowdon, Black Rock Sands, Portmerion, Portmadoc, Harlech, Beddgelert, Lloyd George 's childhood home and museum. Ran out of time!

This is the 3rd time we have visited this hotel and We cannot fault it again. Such a beautiful house and each room is individually decorated. sitting in the evening in front of a roaring fire and having eaten such fine food was a joy. The staff could not be more helpful and under the leadership of the manger (marie) they were first class. I would recomend this hotel anytime, having travelled extensivley throught the world this is just the most perfect place , with staff that are a credit to the house .
Thanks again and " I will be back as they say " sooner than later

Recently visited this lovely hotel as a birthday treat and what a treat! We were warmly welcomed by the staff and there is a beautiful roaring fire in the lounge, which has a galleried landing and is tastefully decorated, as are all rooms. Our room was very clean and had all amenities required for our stay.
We chose to eat in as the surroundings are very comfortable and at least we could have a few drinks - the extended wine list made this very easy! The food was top notch, really fantastic - full complements here.
Take time to walk around the gardens, they are beautifully kept and you can see the sea from the veranda outside. The location is great, with local shops, castle and beach and a great Ice-cream parlour, yes it's autumn but what the hell!
Already planning my trip next year so I can drink my wine on the terrace this time with a bit of sun - I'm sure you'd get a different perspective again at this time of year.
Thankyou for a perfect stay - would definitely compare this hotel to a 4* at the least.

The Hotel and grounds were very beautiful as was the attention to detail overall. I found the staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was very lavish and every possible need was provided for. The public rooms and dining room were luxurious and food served was lovely. My stay at this hotel was very pleasurable indeed, and the grounds of the hotel were very relaxing and restful.

On first arrival at this beautiful hotel, we were more than pleasantly surprised at the majesty of the building and its beautiful gardens. The manageress who welcomed us was more than hospitable, showing us to our room and ensuring that we had all we required.
The bedrooms were well appointed, the décor and furnishings delightfully luxurious. Special mention must be made to the indulgent and enormous bed, complete with beautiful egyptian cotton sheets – wonderful! The bathroom was spotless and I must complement the rather large and wonderfully thick bath sheets.
The food in the dining room was traditional yet modern and beautifully presented. The homemade ice cream was delightful and the home made bread, delicious.
Throughout our stay, the staff were attentive and obliging, ensuring we were well catered for and providing a service beyond any hotel staff I have previously experienced.
The location of the hotel made long autumn walks, early morning golf and a visit to the beach all within easy reach, exactly what we needed after a hearty and satisfying breakfast.
Without doubt a location to revisit, we are already planning our next tripand are lvery much ooking forward to it.
