“A wonderful experience”
Reviewed 24 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Recently returned from a holiday at Fir Tree Cottage and can honestly say this accommodation is really top notch. Cottage cosy and comfy and sea can be seen from lounge and kitchen windows, especially the lounge. Also very well equipped, there was everything you could wish for, and hosts Ann and Richard were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended, an absolute delight. Looking forward to a return visit! Thank you Ann and Richard.

“A real gem”
Reviewed 20 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Fir Tree Cottage was ideal for our break. Ann and Richard were very welcoming and helpful, and the bottle of wine and card for our anniversary was a real surprise and greatly appreciated. The cottage was clean, comfortably furnished and perfectly sized for 2 people . It is set in charming gardens with tantalising glimpses of the sea and centrally placed to reach the towns amenities.
There is ample space for parking on the drive and with the excellent public transport it meant we could visit places without using the car, essential if you do the Purple Moose brewery tour!
Criccieth has plenty of restaurants if you want to eat out, but the kitchen in the cottage was adequately furnished with pots, pans etc that we even did a full roast one day with tasty local meat and produce.
From Fir Tree Cottage we were easily able to explore the Llyn peninsula, Snowdonia and the local towns.
When we return to this part of the world we will certainly be trying to rebook Fir Tree Cottage.

This is lovely cosy cottage situated at the beginning of Criccieth in a quiet position behind the owner's house. However, there are views from the lounge window across the front garden towards the sea. Behind the cottage is also a large garden with furniture etc for guests use. It's in a perfect position for walking into the village or down to the beach. It is tastefully appointed and very well equipped and managed by the lovely Ann and her husband, a delightful couple. A strong Wifi signal was also available all the time.

Lovely property located in an ideal position for shops, restaurants and beach.
Ann and Rich are kind and welcoming. Although Fir Tree Cottage is small it is well equipped, and a very comfortable bed.

“A lovely stay at welcoming Fir Tree Cottage.”
Reviewed 8 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Fir Tree cottage is excellent value for money. It is cosy & comfortable. Plenty of room for us two and our dog. The owners Ann & Richard are very friendly and welcoming & are lovely people. They are always there to help without being intrusive. The shared gardens around Fir Tree are a pleasure to sit in & the owners love their guests to enjoy the grounds. The cottage is in an ideal location for all Criccieth's amenities. From the front garden of the main house are lovely views of the bay and the castle. The beach is fantastic for long walks with our dog low side of Dylans restaurant. Although very pebbly when the tide is in it has long flat sandy areas when the tide is out. It is also often deserted and very peaceful. Criccieth itself is a lovely place to stay. Thank you Ann & Richard for a very enjoyable stay in your property! Hope to see you again in the future!

“Small, excellent location”
Reviewed 26 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Out of 10
Location 9 - on high street, close to shops & cafes, 5 mins from beach yet fairly quiet
Facilities 8 - good lounge, kitchen & batchroom. bedroom needs redesigning as wardrobes only open partially and metal bed frame is very squeaky and limits wardrobe doors' movement and feet of anyone over about 5'10". WiFi worked well and was quite quick. Bedding was very comfy and of good quality.
Decor 7 some good points, but some (1980s?) features such as lights that are fake oil lamps, electric fake coal fire immediatly in front of gas fake log fire (?), nylon fake flowers etc. Small update and it'd be very good.
Cleanliness 9
Parking 6 - room for 5, but an one extra parks next to house, blocking in top car. Road difficult to exit onto unless going forwards, so you need to turn around on drive and extra car is in the way.
grounds 9 - garden would be good to sit in if dry/warm. View of castle & sea from the top.

Property was up for sale when we were there, so ownership might change

Thanks for this review, shame the window cleaner called as you were leaving making it a 5 minute wait for you while he moved his vehicle. No problemn usually .The lamps and lights were bought to be in keeping with a very old conversion, sorry they are not your choice. The weather we cant change, sorry if that was not as hot as you like for using the gardens. But we hope you managed to enjoy your stay and thank you for staying with us, Rich and Ann
