“Wish I could live here!”

My husband and I rented this cottage with our friends, and it was a perfect getaway. I regret we did not stay longer, so will have to just plan another trip there! Hands down, this is the best vacation rental I have stayed in. The cottage is not too far off from great sites to visit. We even made a day trip to Caernarfon from the cottage.

The cottage is LOVELY. It is really very picturesque inside and out - a beautiful restoration job. It is very quiet, and it feels like the best blend of stepping into history with the right modern conveniences. The cottage is very well appointed. There are two cook stoves - an AGA and a range. This was my first encounter with an AGA and I loved it. There is plenty of fridge storage - a small fridge in the kitchen, and a larger fridge in the pantry. The pantry is filled with pots, pans, serving bowls and platters, and a dishwasher as well. The bathroom (located upstairs) is very nice. The shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

The evenings got a little chilly in the cottage (during the spring). We used the wood stove in the living room, and I would suggest in the chilly months starting a fire in the late afternoon to warm the house for the evening. This worked well for us. I suggest bringing a good supply of dry logs with you to help the fire along, though there were logs in the cottage to use as well - ours were still a little damp and took a while to get going. There are two bedrooms that have double beds (full) and one room with a single (twin). Great for 2 couples or up to 5 people. We used the extra bed as the place to send the most egregious snorer! Ha!

The cottage has wifi - the signal was not strong enough to do mobile calling over wifi (to avoid international cell charges), but checking emails and hopping online was okay.

The owner, Maureen, is super charming and responsive. She clearly has devoted a lot of heart to this property. I highly recommend you check it out!

We stayed in The Farm Cottage for a weekend in March 2017 and couldn't have been more thrilled with our trip. The house was clean, well equipped for all your needs and was a perfect base for the activities nearby. Maureen and Bob were very helpful with local knowledge and thank you both for a wonderful stay - we hope to return one day!

“A lovely cottage for a great family holiday”

A lovely, characterful cottage which was very clean and had very comfortable beds. The furnishings and equipment were all very good. The large garden and driveway were ideal and safe for our grandchildren t play on. The owner was very helpful and friendly and had supplied many extras in the form of wine, sweets, flowers and milk on arrival. The cottage is situated in a very quiet location away from it all with lots of wildlife, which was a lovely change as we live in a city on a busy road. It was within easy distance of many of the attractions, especially beaches. We had a really great week. Thank you.

“Relaxing and comfortable holiday in a beautiful location.”

We stayed for a week in this cottage. We were welcomed by Maureen who went through how to use the aga, (which was great to cook with) etc. She kindly left some cookies and a bottle of wine and chocolates for us. The kitchen was well equipped and very nice to cook in. There is a lovely log burner in the living room which we did not need to use but imagine would be lovely when the nights are colder.
Overall a lovely stay. Get out and about to see the magical gorgeous Welsh countryside, so many things to do there. A week just isn't long enough really.
Thank you Maureen for a lovely stay.

“An absolute home from home - Perfect!”

We have stayed in this cottage on many occasions and we have never been disappointed.
It is spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. Maureen is so welcoming. The cottage is very charming and an absolute home from home. It is very well situated in beautiful countryside yet within easy driving distance of many places. It is very peaceful and the perfect place to sit in the garden, read a book and relax.
We have stayed in many different places over the years and none of them come close to this beautiful cottage.
Highly recommended.

“A wonderful, peaceful haven.”
Reviewed 21 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed for one week and could not fault anything. The location is peaceful and relaxing, but excellently placed for travelling to all the best places in the area.

The cottage itself is beautiful, and very homely. The children loved playing in the huge garden and watching all the different types of birds visiting the bird table.

Maureen made us all feel very welcome, and we would not hesitate to return.
