Stayed here recently in a side sea view room which was sold on the website as superior. Room was very clean and comfortable. Quite noisy from the people in the room above and creaky floorboards so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Lovely breakfast and plenty of extra toast and coffee/tea. Everyone is very friendly so be prepared to mix.

Room Tip: Request one of the rooms on the front of the house these have an excellent sea view.

Uncomplicated and with a familiar atmosphere. Very quiet surrounding with beach in front of the house (some rooms have a sea view). Lovely breakfast. Special: fully licensed in-house bar in the evenings.

I have just returned from a lovely couple of nights. I booked a single room which delightfully had a double bed, the room was very comfortable with a sea view, very nice to fall asleep to the sound of the sea. I felt the price for the room was excellent
Brian welcomed me and was very knowledgable about places to eat in the evening which was really helpful to me as travelling on my own.
As I was there to visit the castles I thought that breakfast was served at a very good time (8 to 8:45) as I had plenty of time to eat a very yummy freshly cooked breakfast and travel to the castles for when they open at 9:30.
It was a five minute walk to Criccieth castle with beautiful views over the bay.
I found the parking to be very tight but Brian suggested the free car park opposite which was a lot easier.
Will stay again if I visit North Wales again, well done

On arrival we were greeted by Linda, who is really lovely and friendly. She offered us the choice of two rooms, and we opted for the kingsize bed over the sea view, although the view was stunning being right on the sea front. I loved the room, it was so cosy and homely. We had stayed in three other hotels that week and I knew I would sleep best here...I was right! In the bar we met Brian who was equally as welcoming, even giving us a free drink to oats our marriage earlier in the week. He is a wealth of local information too, as we found out over breakfast the next morning when he put us onto the Zipworld attraction, which we actually managed to get onto that afternoon. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying. In all, it's a lovely little b&b run by truest lovely people in a fantastic corner or Wales. Thanks.

We stopped for one night in a sea view room. It had a sofa facing out to the view which was great for sitting and watching the world go by. Bed was super king and comfy. Brian was a great host very welcoming and knowledgeable on local places to eat and visit, without being too intrusive as some owners can be. Breakfast was good, quality of food very nice with a good strong pot of decaf coffee, which makes a change from most hotels who think asking for decaf means you want weak coffee. We'd stopped again if we were in the area in future and needing a b&b.

We have just arrived back from a perfect mini break at The Abereistedd and really did not want to leave. We only booked in at the last minute after sitting on the carpark and looking on the internet. We had a very warm welcome and our rooms were immaculate with stunning sea views and a huge comfy bed. We watched dolphins from our window, and enjoyed lovely cooked breakfasts with nothing being to much trouble from our hosts Brian and Linda. We very highly recommend this hotel and hope to return as soon as possible.

Room Tip: Rooms 3 and 9 have stunning sea views

This hotel saved our weekend away - we had booked another B&B in Portmadog but no one was there when we arrived! After knocking on the door for ages, we had to make the decision to leave and look for something else. We found the Abereistedd on laterooms.com and booked it without looking at any reviews. We were warmly welcomed which was lovely after worrying we would have to sleep in the car for the night! Brian greeted us and showed us to our room. It was lovely with a very comfy bed and a view of the castle and the sea (if you looked round to the right). We settled in and had a nice walk around Criccieth - its a quiet lovely place right on the sea. Its only 10 minutes from the local attractions of Portmeirion and the Ffestiniog railway - both of which we headed for the next day. Our nights sleep was good - a little noise from above but this was not the owners fault - rude other guests really. The shower was nice and hot and the room had great tourist information, tea making facilities, a little chocolate by the bed (which was a really nice touch) and biscuits. The whole hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated - I liked all the boats and coastal theme. Breakfast was laid out nicely in a room with a great sea view - you could have cereal or a cooked breakfast.

Overall we were really happy and are glad we found this little gem - we plan to come back again and use it as a base for our next North Wales trip.
