A big surprise - one of the finest diner we got in the UK since we arrived. Homemade from the starter to the desert. The chief is a passionate man cooking local food with cuisine trends from around the world. A treasure for your taste buds. A big approval from French and Italian food lovers.

I believe it is closed on a Monday so look elsewhere, or maybe just for the period of May when I went. Nice food, nice place and the staff very nice.

Found by accident when searching the internet for a place to go for dinner whilst on holiday for my 50th Birthday with my husband. Booked for the evening of 16th May 2014. Well, what a great find. The food was excellent. I had the house salad with berry dressing followed by the salmon. All I can say is that they chef they have is a great asset. The salad was delicious and the salmon was the best I have ever tasted in a restaurant. My husband had the herring followed by pheasant, equally delicious. At £16.50 for two courses per person it was excellent value for money. The staff could not have been more helpful and the service was top class. Best Birthday meal ever! If we are ever in the area again it will be our first choice of place to eat that is for sure. Just wish we lived nearer.

We were a party of eight golfers. The menu outside looked very good and we were able to book a table for later that evening.

The fare was every bit as good as the menu looked.

It had the usual welsh lamb, steaks, fish etc. and one or two less obvious items such as pheasant.

Every dish was beautifully served, every dish was beautifully cooked and we could find not a single fault with the meal - which for eight people is remarkable.

Service was attentive, staff were pleasant and we would all return if coming back to this beautiful part of the world.

Cost was about £35 a head with about half a dozen bottles of (good) wine.

Highly recommended.
