5 stars are no where near enough to rate this stunning cottage. It should be at least 20.
It's idyllic, peaceful, beautiful and Sandra is such a kind helpful lady, no questions or help is too small.
We are definitely coming back.
Thank you Sandra for allowing us to stay in your cottage.
We have an amazing Easter weekend in “under the oak”.
The cottage was spotless and had everything required and more for a self catering stay. The garden surrounding the cottage looked lovely and I am certain when spring/summer hits it will be glorious. Unfortunately, the daffodils were still hiding when we stayed.
We used the cottage as a base for exploring Portmerion, Walking Snowdon, Conwy and going to bounce below - all within perfect distance from the cottage.
Thank you to the hosts for such a wonderful trip.

Lovely accommodation and owners. Great location to explore North Wales. We had a fantastic time on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway, visits to Harlech Castle and Caernarfon Castle. There are great beaches close by Criccieth/Porthmadog and Llyn Peninsula. Despite the drizzling rain all weekend it soon cleared off and fun time had by all.
We had a wonderful time. The children loved and and felt extremely welcome. We've stayed in several places in Criccieth and this had to be the best yet!
Dan y Derw is a holiday home as you can only wish. Built of stone, bright, with terrace and a perfectly coordinated decor. The kitchen is well equipped for four people, the rooms are large as well as the beds. Shower free of charge. The orientation of the terrace is without insight. There is a car park for two cars. The owners live close by and we are very kindly received with cakes and tea. They are helpful and open-minded. We felt very comfortable and would book the house again at any time. Ideal for the Lyn peninsula and the Snowdionia National Park. But above all, Criccieth is a charming town with beach and castle and flair.
