“Excellent - make a plan to do this bike ride!”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Myself, hubby and 8 year old son completed this beautiful bike ride recently whilst on holiday. We parked in Barmouth - try and park near the start of the cycle route to avoid parking charges. The only bit which you really need to take care on is at the point of the bridge that joins the start of the cycle route in Barmouth. It is very narrow at that point - and I still have the bruises to prove where I tried to cycle past a lady (there is just enough room) and she stepped out in front of me. Ouch! Other than that, the ride is great. Flat, wide enough for walkers and cyclists, plenty of rest stops, some gates to negotiate and above all - BEAUTIFUL! We had a lovely lunch in Dolgellau which gave us enough energy to cycle back in one go in 90 minutes. It was one of the highlights of our holiday :-)

“Lovely flat traffic free ride”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Hired bikes in Dolgellau which were reasonably priced (£13 for half day or £20 for a full day). The trail starts from the far side of the main car park in Dolgellau and goes all the way to Barmouth, about 10 miles each way. It's a lovely flat traffic free cycle path with lovely views over the estuary. Barmouth is a very pretty little seaside town. Stopped for a coffee then cycled back. Altogether it took us about 3 hrs 30 mins. If you like cycling I would recommend this trail.

“Nice easy ride”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

Hired a couple of bikes and a trailer for the 2.11 year old, who must have done about 1/4 on his balance bike!

Very flat, esay ride.

Barmouth bridge is a bit of a bone shaker!

“Great bike ride”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Did a great circular route from one of the car parks, starting off using the trail, then onto country lanes into the hills and back again via the trail - will do that again! Fab ride despite the rain :-)

“A great ride”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

Myself and hubby rode from Dollgelau to Barmouth, we are over 50's and not every day cyclists, reading the reveiws we decided that this sounded just up our street. It was a nice sunny day and we took our time and did it in about 1and 1/2 hours. The scenary was great the only down side was the dusty loose chipping track, once we got to barmouth we were filthy which we were not expecting, hope this helps others decide to complete this route as we did both ways.
