“Cosy and snug.”

On a short break to go Mountain biking we had everything we needed at the snug. Internet, a comfy bed, a good parking spot right outside the house and a kitchenette for breakfast. Adele could not have been more helpful and responded to any questions we had really quickly - which was very much appreciated. Great customer service. Dolgellau is a great place to go to eat out too and a new wine bar!

We arrived late on Thursday evening due to unfortunate circumstances the snug was easy to find and looked inviting before we had even got across the threshold. On entering you can see it is lovingly cared for and immaculate, the chocolates on the bed, the flapjack and the traditional welsh cakes were a nice added touch alongside the milk and tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
The facilities are ideal if you want to eat in with an electric hob, toaster and microwave alongside all the utensils, crockery etc you would have in a full size kitchen. The bathroom was massive with an amazing hot powerful shower which was a godsend after climbing snowdon.
Adele was lovely and attentive without being intrusive although it is an extension to the main house you wouldnt think it as it is self contained with your own private parking.
The surrounding area is beautiful with plenty of places to eat and drink in the village we had a takeaway one of the nights and a lovely meal at the ship hotel another were the staff and locals were lovely even with the Wales England rugby match going on :)
I loved our stay here and cant wait to go back :)

Stayed for two nights with husband and 6 year old. Well-equipped, quality accommodation which was perfect for our stay. Husband was competing in the Snowdonia Trail Marathon at Coed-y-Brenin so we hired some bikes and did some trails there. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable.

“Extremely well equipped, clean and comfortable”

My partner and I just visited Snowdonia for our first visit. I came across the Snug in Snowdonia by luck through a google search and am so pleased that I did. It is located in the lovely town of Dolgellau, 5 mins max walk to restaurants and pubs. We stayed for three nights and ate at the restaurants/pubs in town each evening. The food is not gourmet, but service is friendly every where we went. Be warned - it gets busy at the weekends and is worth pre-booking.

The Snug is really clean and comfortable. It consists of the main room divided by a screen with a sofa and table on one side and bed on the other a kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen has all crockery, pans etc that you could need. There is a kettle, microwave, electric hob, fridge and washing machine. Adele (the owner) even left plenty of tea bags, pot of sugar and pint of milk in the fridge. There was also washing up liquid, tea towels and cloths so you really didn't need to worry about a thing. There is a hairdryer, iron and ironing board provided also. In the bathroom are towels and really comfy bath robes. There are so many homely touches and then some really lovely extras; cakes in the kitchen and chocolates on the bed that make it even more special. The heating is also really good; high praise from me as I'm always cold.

The only down was that the WiFi was not working whilst we were there which was a bit of an issue for us as our phones were not getting signals and my partner wanted to use the internet on the laptop that we brought with us. I messaged Adele to let her know and she responded promptly about connecting to next door which we managed on our laptop but not phones.I did not pursue it as we were only there for a few days and I'm sure Adele will get this fixed before new visitors arrive.

Whilst in Snowdonia, we climbed Snowdon, Cader Idris and walked around the Mawddach Estuary; all highly recommended.

We had a really good holiday and were so pleased with our accommodation. Would highly recommend the Snug in Snowdonia.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Snowdonia Snug for my birthday weekend last November. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back. The Snug is very cosy and has everything you need. The kitchen was very well equipped with appliances and utensils. Comfortable bed, large bathroom - a real home from home.

“Cosy and snug at "The Snug"”

We stayed two nights at the Snug last week and we were delighted with the accommodation and the location. It's a studio style layout which was great for the two of us, really warm and cosy and everything fitted in really well. A great use of the space! Very comfy and warm bed and an amazing shower. I can see why everyone comments on it. A huge space and the most invigorating and hot shower ever. Perfect for after January climbing and biking!
Breakfast was left for us in the fridge and was plenty for the two days, continental style and including fresh eggs and lots of other bits and pieces which were great to use for the packed lunch too. Adele was on hand if we needed anything else and was great with local knowledge.
The Snug is full of personal touches, feels very home from home and is located only about 5 mins stroll from the town centre. Great that you can leave the car there in your own space and go for meals or a drink or to hire bikes for the day.
Adele was really flexible on the time we checked out as there wasn't a changeover and we were really delighted to get that extra day to do the Mawddach trail and to be able to shower when we got back before heading off to our next port of call.
Would recommend it to anybody looking for a laid back, relaxing B & B in a great location for an outdoors break. Situated close to the start of the Pony Trail up Cader Idris as well as lots of walks and bike trails within striking distance. We will certainly return for another visit.
