We stayed in hazel suite with lovely separate room for the kids. I honestly think that this place could not be any better, it was so comfortable and beautifully done and friendly. Amazing beds and bedding, perfect temperature, bathroom was amazing, with robes and slippers etc. lovely breakfast and Emma the manager seemed not at all intrusive but so keen to make sure all our needs were met and booked dinner for us etc.

We have just returned from a last minute one night stay at Ffynnon and cannot wait to return. Everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble. We settled in the comfy lounge on arrival with complimentary tea and cake, then enjoyed soma chilled champagne and strawberries while our toddler happily made her way through the children's books. Our room, Emily, was extremely spacious and the bathroom fantastic with wonderful views. All our needs were catered for at breakfast especially with a toddler on board. The service was so friendly and welcoming and we couldn't fault a thing. The hotel feels like a home from home with lots of personal touches It's a joy to find somewhere like this and we can't wait to return.

The room for our visit became available late on Friday and we only decided to take it because of the friendliness of Emma. We are so glad we did. It is a lovely old house, beautifully presented, with a mixture of character and modern luxury. The roads to get there are steep and frighteningly narrow but worth it. The parking is a real bonus, the room (we stayed in Aimee) comfortable and quiet and the breakfast excellent. Emma was cheerful, friendly and efficient. Yes, it's fairly expensive but great for a special break and we will be happy to return.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Ffynnon as a mini honeymoon recently and would recommend to anyone. This B&B is perfectly situated on the edge of Dolgellau town with a host of excellent eateries within walking distance. Service is exceptional, the building is grand, decorated tastefully with quality and staying in the Myfanwy suite - we couldnt have asked for more. Driving up from London, Emma called us to ask if she could book us into a local restaurant which we thought was a nice touch. Although it is a bit tricky to find at first, you'll soon forget that when you arrive. Since we were staying Mon-Thur during the off-peak season, we were the only guests for those few days and were even invited to enjoy breakfast in our pyjamas which we did everyday. It was like a home from home.

The area is very scenic, some great roads for driving and local towns and sights arent too far away. We visited Port Meirion, Lampeter, Bedd Gelert and many more- Steve and Deb know the area well and can advise. Emma and Deb are native welsh speakers so if like my you 'siarad cymraeg' then that's great too.

The hotel is wonderful - very elegant, individual style that you won't find in many places and the breakfast is fantastic.
Right from our first contact the help we had with booking restaurants, taxis, massage treatments etc was first class - we felt like we were being looked after the whole time and wouldn't change a thing about it

We stayed here for a night at the weekend and enjoyed it enormously.

The whole place has been decorated to a very high standard: it's really boutique hotel standard, better than many places in that category.

We booked the Sydney room and would certainly recommend it.

Staff were very friendly and they had obviously given a lot of though into anticipating what you might need (brollies for walking around town; the butler's pantry with extra tea etc.).

We would definitely stay here again, first-rate.
