“Best B&B I've stayed in”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2013

Stayed in here for 1 night as part of a cycling trip.

They have secure bike lock-up facilites. The whole place is very well kept and clean - these people care, that much is obvious.

Cant fault the service and facilites of this B&B. The town is lovely too. I cycled from Bangor right down to Cardiff and this was easily the nicest B&B in the loveliest town. Would highly recommend here and hope be back next year!

Stayed here for 1 night as we were cycling in the area for the weekend - a great location to be based for Coed y Brenin, Nant y Arian, and Machynlleth trails. Cottage has secure car parking and lockable bike storage. Also right in the middle of town, so perfect for heading out to the pubs and restaurants after a day on the bike.

Very friendly and helpful owners - they offered to cook us breakfast outside of their normal hours if we wanted to leave earlier.

Room was spotless and very comfortable. Large en-suite and powerful hot shower. Breakfast was great - fresh and tasty.

Will be coming back for sure.

We have just had two very comfortable nights in Aber Cottage, with delicious breakfasts both mornings. As railway enthusiasts we were visiting the Talyllyn Railway, Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways, and Aber cottage is well placed to visit all three.
Our other interest is bird watching so we will be back as Aber cottage is also ideally placed for the Welsh ospreys. Excellent eating places within walking distance, and hospitable hosts in Graham and Sarah make this lovely place for a Welsh break. Secure parking for the car is also a major bonus.

We stayed in March and the snow came too which wasn't part of the plan. But staying at Aber Cottage was great. It was warm, clean and comfortable and Graham and Sarah were fantastic hosts. Being in the centre of Dolgellau was a real advantage. We only had go a few meters to chose between several cafes, pubs and restaurants. We also hope to stay again and take more advantage of the stunning scenery in that part of the world. We would recommend Aber Cottage to anyone.

I stayed at Aber Cottage on a bright, blustery night having ridden for more than 130 miles across South and mid Wales (over two days) to get there. Graham and Sarah had kindly agreed to let me stay for free as my challenge was to ride from Cardiff to the Conwy Valley for Ty Gobaith children's hospice. I was in pain, exhausted and in need of a warm, welcoming room for the night. I got it, and more. Dolgellau is a beautiful place, and Aber Cottage is nestled quietly amongst its winding streets, filled with homely pubs, shops and buildings. The couple themselves were kind and accommodating. The bed, in the Wnion suite, was marshmallow soft, and the ability to be able to just sit back and relax, watch TV, have a hot shower and let my aching body recuperate was a Godsend. A quick pint at the nearby Stag pub helped, as did a goodbye consisting of tea, toast and good luck. Not only did the Aber Cottage act as a safe haven for the night, my brief stay lifted spirits and pushed me on to the finish line. Thanks again, I'd recommend anybody stay there.

Stayed here a couple of times, rooms are lovely and clean, nicely furnished and warm. Breakfast good, Owners are helpful and friendly. They were not tight with heating and food. Will always choose to stay here when in the area. Recommend to anyone.
