The Forestry Commission has invested a lot in promoting this forest park for mountain bikers and many of the facilities are geared towards that target audience. That's fine if you are one of that target market but very very alienating if you are a hapless non-cycling member of the public looking for a walk and some refreshment at the visitor centre.
The bikers are focused on their sport and themselves and we lesser mortals have to move aside here so they can do their thing. Fine, now we know we won't intrude on their very private and cliquey space again - if you want to relax, sit and eat in a clean environment and not feel you have intruded on a mountain bikers private party just don't stop here.
