“Best place to stay in Snowdonia no question!!”
Reviewed 14 July 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This cottage is delivers on all fronts !

1st the veiw is quite simply breathtaking, the fact that you are actually in the tree tops is so magical, but to top this off you get the most undisturbed veiw of the ocean.

2nd the property was so clean and tidy, it is clear that Martin and Lynn take real care and pride in presenting a 5* quality accommodation . The feel of the place is that of luxury and expense while still delivering the elements of a warm comforting home enabling you to relax and feel like royalty .

3rd Martin is a wonderful host and couldn't do more for us he was both friendly and caring without being over powering and allowed us to just get on with things ... Nothing more can be said but simply the best hosts

We hope to stay again and again and again

“tranquillity base”
Reviewed 28 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Great place to unwind and stroll down to the local beach and walk to the village . As a writer I did a lot of pen to paper while I was there, all the time, so peaceful. Easy to maintain and suits single or couple only really. Owners are very nice and the balcony is a great relax early evening. To get away and find some quiet this a good place to hang your hat for a while. As the actor says , I'll be back.

“The Most Amazing Retreat”
Reviewed 3 June 2016 for a stay in January 2016

I booked for 2 weeks originally and then stayed for 4!

The cottage is located in a lovely village with snow capped mountains behind, green fields below and glorious views from the lounge and balcony to the nearby sea. The trees in the garden and bird table (and the bird feed provided by Lynn and Martin) are enjoyed by a plethora of birds and several friendly and inquisitive squirrels and are a joy to watch.

The cottage is super clean with a relaxing contemporary decor that truly reflects its surroundings, and feels like both a woodland cottage and a fisherman's cottage, but most importantly feels like home. The owners, Lynn and Martin, have thought of everything you might need from an unbelievably well equipped kitchen, a brilliant walk in shower, wonderfully comfy bed, excellent choices of lighting (as soft or bright as you require) to tiny thoughtful touches like a torch, switches and hooks where you need them to be, board games, eco friendly washing up liquid, bird feed and so much more.

Lynn and Martin are wonderful hosts. From the first inquiry email I sent, to the card they popped round on my birthday, the suggestions they had for things to do and so much more, it is clear how much they care about the cottage, the village and their guests, and that really reflects in the wonderful experience I had staying there. They live nearby and are happy to help if you need anything (like when I locked myself out!) However, they are not in any way intrusive, you just know you can contact them if you need to.

I truly found my holiday relaxing, rejuvenating, tranquil and refreshing. I travelled by train and found the service easy to use, the train conductors brilliantly helpful and travelled everywhere from nearby Harlech and Porthmadog to Machynlleth and Aberystwth. There are lots of walks locally too and I walked from the cottage to Harlech beach a number of times and really enjoyed it. The weather was stunning - a range of bright sunny days, torrential rain, swirling winds and snow and I loved it all.

I am planning to return to the cottage and look forward to my next visit - I recommend a stay in Tree tops to all of you too!

Dear Jo
Tree Tops obviously fitted you like a glove, and we were so pleased you had the flexibility to extend your stay. Your use of the train service was very efficient in view of the 2 hourly service, and you managed to get pretty well everywhere. Delighted you got to see the surroundings in the range of weather we experience in the winter. Look forward to your return so you can discover more about Ardudwy.

“A great destination to relax or explore”
Reviewed 18 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This holiday rental was just what we were looking for.

The accommodation is well thought out, well equipped and comfortable. The living/kitchen area is bright with great views from the patio doors leading to the balcony which is well situated to make the best of good weather and the sea view. Bathroom has a great shower and nicely finished. Overall feel is clean, bright and relaxing.

Martin and Lyn are great hosts who communicated well before arrival and just as required during our stay. As noted by other guests, we too enjoyed the coffee and lovely bara brith cake!

“Beautifully thought out property with breath-taking views from the sofa!”
Reviewed 9 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We've just returned from a wonderful break at Tree Tops. I know when I've had an amazing holiday because I always feel a bit sad to leave. This was especially true with Tree Tops.

We were warmly welcomed by Martin who showed us around the immaculate property - and I mean spotless! It is really well set up for those who want a very active break or those who simply want to relax. We did a good amount of both! Martin provided us with all the maps and guides we could need and even recommended a number or walks or places we could ride our bikes. If only we had had more time to fit them all in. Another few weeks in Tree Tops would have been ideal really!

The facilities are brilliant - kitchen has everything we needed. Not only that, but a lot of the stuff looked like we were the first people using it! The bed is incredibly comfy to the point where post-9am get ups became all too common! The shower is hot and powerful. The house is very light, airy and warm. I can't fault it!

Thank you Martin and Lynn for your kindness and hospitality. We are already trying to work out when we can come back!

Despite the mixed weather, you showed what active guests can get done in six days. Road and off road bikes, cycling round the Rhinogs as well as Coed y Brenin's variety of runs. We were very impressed! Thank you for coming to stay and your kind comments. We look forward to your next visit.

“A gem of a find.”
Reviewed 31 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This was a perfect stay for us, a couple who like the outdoors. It is fantastically placed for mountain biking (Coed y Brenin) and walking and bird watching. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Martin and Lynn are friendly and helpful. There is no where to store mountain bikes but Martin let us keep them in the porch to his property which is a minute walk away. The 2 local pubs are a 15 min (20 mins max) walk down a quiet lane and serve good real ale. A supermarket is available in Porthmadog and a very good butcher in a local village. We will return next year because there is still more to see and do. Thank you.
