Just returned from Brynteg, caravan for 3 nights with our three primary school age kids. What a lovely site this is, loads to do, we never stopped. Swimming, Jacquozi, Sauna, steam room, games room, arcade, soft play area lovely bar and restaurant, snooker room, pitch and put golf, beautiful lake and woodland walks, gym, sports hall, shop, outdoor play area, lakeside restaurant and decking with views over the mountains, the kids slept well.
The site is very clean, looks new, the staff are really friendly and helpful, definately go again.

This is the first time we have stayed at a caravan site and previously only experienced Centre Parcs.

Following research we decided to book Brynteg through Hoseasons and was £300 cheaper over the Easter weekend than Centre Parcs.

We booked a new 3 bed caravan (Beumaris) and was extremely pleased - everything was spotlessly clean and the little extras of tea coffee etc for arrival was an added touch.

The staff were excellent and we found their customer service faultless. Nothing was too much trouble and all were very polite and friendly.

If you don't want to pack much in terms of food, Tesco do a delivery service to the site which is useful.

The pool was a big hit with our children and the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna was for me! The pool is lovely and warm and we never found it over busy, which was a suprise for the time of year.

The lounge bar is nice and food very good value.

Regarding the activities, we had booked the Easter egg hunt from home and whilst at the site booked our children into the chocolate party - was Suprised by previous comments to say impossible to book further activities without laptop or email as we did this on their computer and paid cash at reception - all very easy.

The giant water balls were booked before we arrived but we went to Llanberris a few minutes drive from the Park and the children did them on the River and they are only £5 so half the price than on site.

Overall this is a fantastic site which is relaxing with a good range of activities for children - we are already planning our next break!

Just had a weeks holiday at Brynteg which was wonderful, snow on the mountains was beautiful to see. This is our second visit to Brynteg and would highly recommend this place. Lots of activites for my son to enjoy but would advise to book early to save disappointment. Meal in the restaurant was good too. Found the staff very friendly and helpful as always. We decided to hire a lodge this time which was very spacious and in a lovely location on the park, the last time we hired a caravan. We cant wait now to return this summer for our third holiday at Brynteg.

I have just come back from a four night stay at the brynteg holiday park. We stayed in a lodge. The Wii in the lodge never worked, We booked the bingo activity , went to the meeting point at the allocated time only to be told it had been cancelled. The next day i spoke to the manager about it who informed me that it had not been cancelled just relocated. The staff did not know anything about this and nobody bothered to inform the people booked onto it that it had relocated.
Half of the machines in the amusement arcade never worked and the toilets in the sports complexx had no lights. Twice i recieved a dirty glass from the poolside bistro.
We got woken up at 8am by drilling outside our lodge as maitenence work was carried out this went on all day. The staff at reception were not helpful at all.
Also, the activities are exspensive and the participants do not even get a certificate for attending .
I got the feeling that the staff are only interested if you are a lodge/caravan owner.
The saving grace of this place is the country club were the food was great and the entertainment was great too.
The money i paid to stay here i could have gone to Centre Parcs for a week where the activities are cheaper and a lot more organised.

A beautiful location and very friendly helpful staff.
We found the bedrooms in the caravan very small though there are bigger ones on the park.We were surprised to find a small basket with tea, coffee sugar and milk, also a t towel, dish cloth and small washing up liquid in the caravan on our arrival it is the first time we have had this on a caravan holiday.Caravan was spotless and well equipped, with the beds made up.
The pool was very warm has a jacuzzi and baby pool,a life guard is allways on duty.
The bar is more cosy than most and there were a duo on who were very good on our weekend. There is an adult only bar too.
There is a small bowling alley and a small assortment of amusment arcade games. There is also a hall where you can do things like squash etc and a climbing wall.
The biggest problem we had was trying to book activities as you have to do it via a computer and a message is sent via your e mail address but if you have no laptop or internet access you can't book so BOOK FROM HOME.There was free wi fi but our i pod would not connect nor our laptop so we were disappointed that we could not do things like fencing and water walking, which looked great fun.
The fishing lake is large and cost very cheap around £3 a day.
We had a good time here and would return,we felt let down about the activities and the shop was not open, but all in all a good park.

Room Tip: ask for caravan near pool

My husband, 6 month old baby and I stayed at the Bryteg park in van 54 at the beginning of September. The whole experience was to say the least sub standard. We only stayed 3 nights as we could not face another night and on leaving were told explicitly by reception NOT to direct our compliant to Hoseasons but to the park itself.

Some of the issues were:
1 On arrival no high chair or cot in the caravan despite being ordered at time of booking.
2 On arrival found the window in the double room was fully open and as a result of the weather the duvet and bed were soaked. Reception informed and the duvet was changed and a heater supplied to dry out the bed. The bed took till next day to dry.
3 On showering in the morning the pipe came off completely so not usable.
4 The window in the double room had such a gap that the curtains blew all night and the room was freezing. My husband and I had 3 duvets on the bed and were still cold.
5 The cost of hiring a high chair and cot was £5 each so lower than I paid. You pay more to be organised.
6 The window in the other had such a gap that my daughter was frozen. We got sick of reception and reporting issues so stuffed it with newspaper. The next door caravan had also adopted this approach too.
7 The cot would not fully erect and was collasped completely at one side.
8 I was informed on departure that Hoseasons when I booked should have informed me that the Glyder 2 van was not suitable for having a travel cot in the twin bedroom and I should have been made aware that the beds in there were not meant to be moved.

The service from the ladies in reception was sub standard. They were more bothered about chatting to themselves and you were felt to be in the way. They did not want Hoseasons to know about the issues and never once offered us a phone to call you (no internet or phone reception at the park).

On my return I contacted Hoseasons who replied 5 weeks later saying the holiday park did not think that any issues had arisen.

If you want a family holiday, this is a beautiful area but avoid this holiday park
