“Cold weekend in Wales”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2013

Good points first, spacious comfortable and thankfully reasonably warm lodge
Clean site with nicely landscaped gardens, quite hilly as well. Helpful staff
Nice Sunday lunch only £7, with reasonably priced drinks in the bar.
There was a new steam room and sauna in pool area which were good the pool wasn't that big so it could get crowded if busy.
Location good near to Caernarfon and Llanberis, when leaving the site don’t turn right as it’s a single track road which we got stuck on in the ice, go left and join the e main road. Signage form Caernarfon direction is very poor, SATNAV found the site ok.
Weather terrible, weekend before Easter, freezing cold wind with snow and ice and cloudy.
A few 'minor' issues;
We reported hair dryer not working in the pool changing room but this was still broken when we left as it was cold it was not ideal going out into the cold with wet hair.
Had a croissant at the pool cafe which was dried out and stale.
WIFI is ‘free’ but was very poor in our lodge it kept logging me out and took 3/4 attempts to log back on not very fast either. Also some websites are blocked i.e. YouTube and for some reason Premier Inn ? in the end I gave in as the 3G signal on my phone was better.
Although WIFI did work better on our last evening so it may have been weather related.

Just returned from our stay at Brynteg in a very comfortable lodge (168) with great views and hot tub on the deck. We got a great midweek deal off the Hoseasons website and it was definately good value for money. The park was quiet with it being early in the year but the facilities were still open and available. The pool was great - nice and warm - and the steam room and sauna were a nice bonus we didn't know about. The Country Club restaurant was really nice, excellent food and friendly service. The park is in a good location close to Caenarfon and Llanberis and not too far to drive to other attractions such as Portmeirion, Porthmadog so plenty to do. Even just walking around the park, there are lovely views of Snowdon across the lake. Very relaxing and would return for another visit.

we booked a last minute break to get away from work for a few days and we wasn't really sure what to expect as we haven't stayed in a caravan since we were kids! we were pleasantly surprised. the site is in a great location if you like mountain scenery and there's a lovely pub just down the road. the staff were fantastic and very friendly - everyone from the security guy who gave us our key, to the reception staff, and the bar staff. can't fault them. the park has a nice feel to it. it's not posh, but it feels a little bit more upmarket than i expected (if that makes sense!) everywhere is spotlessly clean, from the caravan, to the bar and restaurant, to the pool (which is also nice). the caravan was superb (i think it was called a snowden 3) with a flatscreen tv, nice kitchen area, great shower, wifi access, etc. the only slight downside was that the beds were a bit uncomfy, and it was tricky to keep the caravan warm during march, but obviously they can't help the weather! the caravan does have central heating, double glazed windows etc. so there's not much you can do about it! i don't know how busy it gets in summer, but we would certainly consider returning to this site. thumbs up!

Me and my partener were holidaying at Brynteg from the 1st March for a weeks break. This was our first to be taken in the UK for 10 years excluding short breaks. We have always opted to go abroad each year, but this year we chose to celebrate my birthday at Brynteg. Firstly i was impressed with the speed of the responces from the emails i sent. They were responded to almost straight away. We booked up with ease. We arrived on the friday early evening, and after a hassle free friendly check in, we were guided to our caravan which was amazing. The caravan was spotless. It was a two bed with en-suite, centrally heated and double glazed. The holiday park itself was spotlessly clean, and landscaped with pride. The restaurant and bar was a great area, again clean and well layed out. Beer was verywell priced. I was drinking pints of San Miguel or Tuborg which carried a price of a normal local pub, very resonalbe i thought. Can i say also that all staff at the park were super friendly. They were not 'Fake Friendlys' they genuinly were all nice people smiling all the time. They all enjoy their jobs which makes holidaying their better. Pool area was a tropical oasis. No matter the weather it was always around 28'c inside, and the water like a bath. Sauna and steam room were a nice touch. As was the bowling alley in the arcade area. We found it to be a super base for exploring surrounding areas, and is only 3 miles from Llanberis. We would go out the gate and turn right to Llanberis, (only a journey for the brave). Overall we had a fantastic time at Brynteg, with some decent weather. The choice to holiday in UK paid off as the break rivaled any foreign holiday without the flying. We will definatly be going back, and can reccomended it to anyone.

I have some great piccys which i will add later.

Room Tip: Some nice quiet areas are to be had, and caravans are in all locations

We've just returned from a wonderful weekend break staying in a Beaumaris 3 caravan which had a double with ensuite toilet, and two twins. Caravan was beautiful and clean and very new, 2012 according to the brochure. We dined in the country club Fri & Sat eve and the food was excellent, staff very attentive too. The pool was also immaculate with excellent changing room facilities and our 3 children enjoyed the soft play area-free to use as well. There looked like a lovely coffee shop by the pool, but didn't get chance to use on this visit! All in all, a superb venue, immaculate, spotlessly clean, a credit to the owner. When time permits, I would like to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to others.

We returned today from a monday to friday break in Brynteg. We stayed in a Beaumaris 3 which had one double bedroom ensuite, 2 small bedrooms with 2 single beds in each and a pull out couch bed.
The Caravan was gorgeous lovely modern furnishings and the corner suite was so comfortable.
The caravan looked felt and smelt brand new
Close to so many little villages and lovely areas for visiting.
We walked around the site and the woodland walk and enjoyed lake side fresh air and we swam everyday and used the steam and sauna rooms, and in the evenings went into the country club.
The club is small and intimate and the young compare made it a good night with fun and games even with so few people and children.
The activities club for the kids is brilliant our daughter went wall climbing and to the free pool party which she absolutely loved.
The staff are excellant .Especially (i think) the site manager he was always around checking all was well and if you mentioned the slightest little problem he sorted it immediately and reported back...I wish i would of asked his name and position !!
Bistro does lovely drinks and snacks and the country club food is delicious but make sure your hungry as they are huge and filling . perfect.
AND kids main meals are free to every adult meal bought ..
I will look forward to another little break here again we loved it .
Only one thing i would say is ask on arrival about the kids activities as they are brilliant..We were not told about them on arrival in reception .... we only found out by chance off the evening compare on the wednesday evening so our daughter only got 1 day to join in !!
All in All...Beautiful clean welcoming friendly place.
Beautiful area amazing views.
Kids activities are brilliant.
Can Not fault This Place !!

Room Tip: Ask for lake view accomodation ..

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 February 2013

Stayed at Brynteg last Easter and had a fantastic time. Returned for the February half term break and yet again a fantastic holiday and still a 5* Holiday park with faultless customer service.

As this is the first time Hoeseasons opened for the February half term the price was extremely reasonable and it offered great value for money.

Booked a 3 bed Beaumaris caravan again and yet again was spotless and extremely warm. Mattress in the double bedroom poor quality and springs starting to come through so not the best sleep. Heating a must at this time of year and the caravan very cosy and well thought out with plenty of storage and room for a family of 5.

Children enjoyed plenty of time in the pool which was not over crowded and I had time to enjoy the sauna and steam room. The changing area is very clean, although Brynteg need to invest in sorting the locks on some lockers that do not work anymore.

The Country Club is well organised with evening entertainment and as my father came with us this trip, he was able to escape the children and enjoy the peace and quiet of the over 21's bar which has plenty of leather comfy seating and large TV for sports. The staff especially in the bar area are excellent - from saving wine purchased by the bottle for the following evening in their fridge to catering for fussy children who want both colour Slush Puppies in the same cup!

The on site shop was not open this time of year, but this is not run by Brynteg, just check before you go.

Children enjoyed a couple of activities booked prior to going (Wii party, football etc). There is a small bowling alley - use lane 1 as the 2nd one isn't as good.

Brynteg is an excellent base for exploring and enjoyed many walks on the beach near by.

Will definately return - just hope Hoeseasons do not push the prices up too much as Easter and May Half Term are getting close to Centre Parc Prices.

Thank you again to the Brynteg team.
