My sister and I have just come home from settling my niece in at Uni at Bangor University. To cut a long story short we fell across this place out of desperation really. We had left it till the last minute to get her there for Freshers week. So, I emailed and asked if it were possible for the three of us to stay in one room for three nights. I got an almost instant response from them and they were very helpful and permitted us to share a room.

It was, as we were told about twenty minutes from Bangor and a nice straight drive at that.

The lady who greeted us was very very friendly and helpful, and I have to say I am pleased we stayed. The accommodation is clean, and we felt the room was big.

We didn't get wifi in the room, but we did at reception. We paid for the breakfast and it was lovely. A little greasy but very nice all the same.

Would def go again

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms were extremely clean. Very simple room but has everything you need. Staff are helpful and friendly. Plenty of room to park. Guest house is located a couple of miles away from caernarfon.

This is an attractive location in a rural countryside and very pretty surroundings. The rooms are small but clean and adequate. Breakfast is not included and is costly but very good. There was no wi-fi in the room and the Reception area where it was available closed early so we could not access our email. The bath is small with thin towels and no bath mats. The towels did not dry overnight and were not replaced, although we put them on the tub to indicate we desired fresh ones. Overall, we had mixed feelings about this location. It's a pretty spot but could use more attention to guest comfort. When reception closed (probably around 9 PM) we felt there was no way to contact staff if something was needed.

Room Tip: All rooms are probably the same.

We stayed here for one night and yes ok, it's dated (bathroom) but my god I don't care cos the surroundings are beautiful! You can open your window wide (no restrictor) and the bed was so comfy, I slept so well! The breakfast was lovely and the one member of staff I met was so friendly :) we are DEFINITELY staying again soon :)

We have just spent three nights here. Comfortable and clean, but it all needs a bit of an upgrade. Loo seat wobbled, shower not the best. We thought it would be smarter so we were a bit disappointed. A group of men were staying for work purposes and were smoking and drinking outside our room during the evening, but they turned in by 10.30pm. The restaurant wasn't open so no chance of food in the evening. It was OK but we wouldn't recommend it to others.

Just returned from 2 nights at The Stables. It's easy to find and not too far away from anything. Caernarfon is only a few mins away and Phwllhi is only 30 mins away. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Bathroom a little dated but whole room was spotless. Staff were friendly and available when needed. Was ideal for us as it is a dog friendly hotel which is pretty hard to come by. Grounds were good and the benches meant could have a drink in the sun! Would return if traveling to this area again!

Stayed for 3 nights in the farm cottage. What a find ! clean and well equipped with good sized bedrooms and living space.
The staff on all occasions were friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be any trouble.
We opted for a cooked breakfast on our last morning and were glad we did, fresh fruit, yogurts and a good selection of cereals, followed by a lovely hot cooked breakfast.Toast was make your own so you could have it when you wanted with a good variety of breads.
I have only one concern and that was the 2 large dogs roaming around, there is signage to say they are there and they seemed to be very calm and docile but gave me concerns as i had a young lady in a wheelchair and was very wary of the dogs being around her.
All in all a lovely stay and i would return.

Room Tip: The farm cottage is ideal if you want privacy, but can opt for breakfast if you wish.
