We thought we would try Sunday Lunch as this was advertised on the road. The restaurant itself had character and the initial greeting was welcoming. The problem we were informed we would need to wait half and hour, but we waited for one hour. Then we were told the carvery was just getting ready, but is was clear there was little meat left. There were no potatoes, and were told that the food was running out. Finally when the food was at the table it was luck warm at best. We walked out. Our advice would be for the manager to plan for how many tables can be covered and if you cant fit people in, please be honest. As locals we will not be returning.

We stayed for two nights at the end of the school summer holidays. staff were extremely helpful. we had a family room which was spotless and very comfortable. the door of the room opened out on to the communal lawn where the children could play whilst we relaxed in the room. plenty of outdoor toys and indoor games were available.
Breakfast was excellent, only the coffee was not good

We'd never stayed in this part of Wales before so it really was pot-luck that we picked the Stables. We were attending a wedding nearby the next day so we arrived late after a 400 mile journey.
Everyone couldn't have been nicer to us. The room was good-sized and very clean and the breakfasts excellent. (We chose full English just because each day was going to be busy.) Although they don't do evening meals there are places in Caernarfon itself and, if you like curries, an excellent restaurant that does takeaway not far from The Stables.
A word of caution, though, the pub near the Fish and Chip shop in the village is awful. Don't know what their food is like but we wouldn't have eaten there anyway. We even left some of our drinks just to get away.
If The Stables can sort out evening meals they'll be perfect!
Thanks to all the staff we saw and spoke to during our (almost) three days there - they really know how to make folk feel welcome!

Room Tip: All rooms round two sides of a central grassed area so don't think any rooms are any better than...

My sister and I have just come home from settling my niece in at Uni at Bangor University. To cut a long story short we fell across this place out of desperation really. We had left it till the last minute to get her there for Freshers week. So, I emailed and asked if it were possible for the three of us to stay in one room for three nights. I got an almost instant response from them and they were very helpful and permitted us to share a room.

It was, as we were told about twenty minutes from Bangor and a nice straight drive at that.

The lady who greeted us was very very friendly and helpful, and I have to say I am pleased we stayed. The accommodation is clean, and we felt the room was big.

We didn't get wifi in the room, but we did at reception. We paid for the breakfast and it was lovely. A little greasy but very nice all the same.

Would def go again

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms were extremely clean. Very simple room but has everything you need. Staff are helpful and friendly. Plenty of room to park. Guest house is located a couple of miles away from caernarfon.

This is an attractive location in a rural countryside and very pretty surroundings. The rooms are small but clean and adequate. Breakfast is not included and is costly but very good. There was no wi-fi in the room and the Reception area where it was available closed early so we could not access our email. The bath is small with thin towels and no bath mats. The towels did not dry overnight and were not replaced, although we put them on the tub to indicate we desired fresh ones. Overall, we had mixed feelings about this location. It's a pretty spot but could use more attention to guest comfort. When reception closed (probably around 9 PM) we felt there was no way to contact staff if something was needed.

Room Tip: All rooms are probably the same.

We stayed here for one night and yes ok, it's dated (bathroom) but my god I don't care cos the surroundings are beautiful! You can open your window wide (no restrictor) and the bed was so comfy, I slept so well! The breakfast was lovely and the one member of staff I met was so friendly :) we are DEFINITELY staying again soon :)
