We stayed here whilst visiting the area to attend a family wedding at nearby Treowen House.
The weather was glorious, the wedding beautiful and our stay at Old Hendre Farm simply made the weekend complete.
The welcome was warm and generous and our friendly landlady simply couldn’t do enough to make our stay a pleasant and comfortable one.
The house and guest rooms are absolutely immaculately kept.
The breakfast made with good quality local ingredients is cooked to perfection, the experience made even better by the wonderful view from the dining table.
If we should again find ourselves in need of accommodation in this area I would not hesitate to return to Old Hendre Farm.

We stayed here whilst walking Offa's Dyke. The landlady is friendly and helpful, and gave us tea and biscuits when we arrived. Rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable, and breakfast was very good. We also ate here in the evening, and were impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. Recommended.

The welcome starts with a chat over a pot of tea (with more hot water to top up as Val always has time to chat to her guests) and wheat-free biscuits to suit my diet. Very good bed and quiet location ensure a good night's sleep. Breakfast at a large table where everyone is introduced to one another is splendid and unhurried.

We stayed overnight as we were going to a friend's wedding nearby. Val welcomed us with cups of tea, welshcakes (and gluten free choc rice cakes as I'm gluten intolerant which was a nice touch). We stayed in the Green room which was a good size and impeccably clean and had a fantastic breakfast (again my GF diet was catered for). Definitely recommended.

My Wife, Son and I stayed at this lovely B&B during our trip to Wales in the UK. The rooms and food were first class and Val was a great host, being very accommodating towards my Wife's special dietary needs (she's very picky ;) ) . Val was very knowledgeable about the surrounding attractions and sights giving us some great suggestions of local spots to visit. Junior especially enjoyed the stay as Val has an assortment of toys to keep him entertained! The views of the lovely Welsh countryside were beautiful and we really couldn't have asked for more pleasant accommodation.

Room Tip: We chose both the Blue and Green rooms, they were both ideal.

We were greeted with tea and the most amazing banana cake from Val who was so friendly that we instantly felt at home. This B and B was spotlessly clean and tidy with plenty of 'guest space' including a lounge and generous sized bedrooms which all had stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was ace and just what we all needed, Thank you so much Val, we'd definately come and stay again!

Val was friendly enough when I arrived to book in, but was very disappointed the next morning by other guests in our wedding party who had not booked in, such that she vocalised this strongly the next day. The culprits included a two year old child and two females in their early teens (all of whom had been rushed to get from the church to the wedding reception and were unaware where they had been booked into before they were told at the reception).

That aside, the house has a very pretty view, it is clean and tidy, though a little tired looking). The double beds are singles put together, and the place although a little tired looking is probably very much typical of the B&B scene.

I can't imagine this is the best B&B that anyone has ever stayed in and following the resolution of Valerie's persistent and very vocal airing of her disappointment about non conforming to booking in protocols, breakfast was served.

It was a reasonable English breakfast. Bacon overdone, sausages underdone, egg yolks on everybody's plate were hard and rubbery, though I am sure one could request eggs not cooked in his way.

Overall an ordinary, reasonable and comfortable place to stay and a pleasant host whom I'm sure we caught on an off day.
