“Perfect for a large family holiday (with dogs too!)”
Reviewed 10 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

It really was perfect for our needs, 3 groups of adults, 2 groups of children and 2 dogs. The kitchen/dining area was where we spent most of our time in the evening, sat at the large table, eating and drinking, with the wood-burning fire. Great location for walks, both low level in the Beddgelert area, and mountain walks throughout Snowdonia. Lovely cafe a short walk down the road did great breakfasts.

Booked to stay here last minute after a double booking on another property. Nia(owner) was very quick to answer questions and get us all booked for the following day. Stayed for 3 nights. House is beautiful..stunning views and surrounding area.plenty of space to relax, inside and out. As a family we particulary enjoyed the large kitchen it was perfect to eat..and have a few glasses of wine( ok bottles!) And can honestly say they was everything you need to prepare and cook meals..better equipt than my kitchen!..dishwasher..washer and drier were great additions too..we used the books and games also..it really does have everything! House was clean throughout amd veru welcoming. If i had anything not positive( not a negative really) but a few of the family said they felt the matresses could do with being replaced as a bit worn and noisy..however this didnt ruin the stay as only a few nights..all in all a fantastic house in a fantastic location and nia was lovely and very helpful. Would certainly stay again amd recommend to others.

The house was lovely, comfortable and spacious enough for our party of eight.

Great to be able to have real fire and a nice big square table to have family meals together.

The house was a great base for reaching all parts of Snodownia.

Recommend Llanberis for:
- the best fried breakfast at Pete's Eat.
- paint your own pottery (a hit with the kids) at Tân y Ddraig, next door to Pete's Eat.
- a few doors up there is a little bakery selling very nice welsh cakes.
- The slate museum (free).
- Electric Mountain which is really interesting piece of engineering.

Betws-y-Coed has a few restaurants (didn't try them) and a sports wear shop actually owned by Sports Direct (bought good value trousers)

Recommend Conwy for the castle and the walled city with tea shops and the smallest house in Great Britain.

Recommend Llandudno for the cable car and afternoon tea at Characters tea shop.

Recommend Corris for Arthur's Labyrinth with sailing on boats inside underground caves.

Didn't have time to go to Bounce Below (Blaenau Ffestiniog) but it sounds great for the kids (despite the price of £20 pp)

“Brutal Events”
Reviewed 16 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Our family group stayed here whilst two of our party took part in the Llanberis Brutal Iron man event. It took about 20 minutes to drive to Llanberis but at 6 o'clock in the morning the roads were empty. In the evening we supported the cyclists in the double event just outside in the front garden which was exciting for the kids. We also had some really good walks from the house on the Sunday. Just a short drive the other way is Bedgellert which is nice for a visit. The house was warm and comfortable with lots of space in the kitchen for everyone to congregate and eat at the huge table. Plenty of hot water and space on the settees to enjoy the Paralympics in the evening.
Also the steeped garden was interesting for an early evening drink - spectacular views. All in all we'd definitely book again
