We had three meals here recently whilst on holiday in the area. It gets VERY busy at weekends/holidays so allow plenty of time and just soak-up the beautiful location and atmosphere. The meals we had were all outstanding - well worth waiting for.

Acceptable meal - extremely busy but probably does not have a lot of competition where it is. Location was great and food was acceptable for a pub meal at the top end of pricing.

My wife and I and the dog,1 nights breakaway.Oldy worldy pub full of character lots of different real ales to try, beautiful day and fantastic scenery.Plateful of food which was scrummy.Watched a world cup game in the bar downstairs 7th heaven.Although quite busy Eric the barman was quite a character reminising at the time he had been there and telling us stories.Comfortable stay. Can't wait to go back.

After a pleasant afternoon walk in the area we stopped at the George III for dinner. It sits right along the estuary and we were able to get a table on the elevated deck, off the hotel dining room, which offers a great view across to the hills and down the estuary toward Barmouth and the sea.

You order at the bar inside and food is delivered to your table. The appetizers were excellent and enjoyed with a couple of rounds of Guinness. The main courses were fine but nothing special. Service was very good.

A beautiful spot to dine outside on a nice evening.

Had sandwiches on two days, one person on the bar queued for drinks and to order food! Excellent food! Lacked a few smiles from both barmen. The location is stunning but they could do so much better. Lots a folk cycling, walking passing by all with happy faces. Please please try harder!!
