“Could be a gem for cyclists”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

The tourist board recommended we stop here so we did. I was expecting coffee and cake type snacks but it seemed to offer more deserts as if you were having a full meal. Nothing wrong with the food we had and the service and people were fantastic. Just not what I expected. Given there are no other places to stop for a break between Dolgellau and Barmouth then this place good clean up.

“Family lunch”
Reviewed 20 August 2014 via mobile

Called for lunch on the way back home with our parents to show off a lovely pub in a great setting. We couldn't fault our lunch and our parents were impressed. We came back for an evening meal in the restaurant for my birthday. The meal was lovely but I was disappointed the belly pork wasn't crispy which is my preference. It's worth visiting.

“Average and over-priced”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

The pictures and menu suggest a good pub evening meal - we aite on weekday evening & our food was really only average and didn't really live up to expecations. A bit expensive for what it was. Bar has a limited selection of real ales - the smaller restaurant room is ok, bit the large one is impersonal and we wou'ld recomend it.

“Awful. ”
Reviewed 18 August 2014 via mobile

After attending this restaurant on recommendation we were very disappointed. Our initial interaction with the staff was abrupt and unwelcoming and did not improve throughout our visit. On beginning our meal the starters were of an average standard, however the mains were considerably bad. The risotto within the 'salmon risotto' dish was mushy, soggy and tasteless resembling something that perhaps was not even risotto rice. This was topped off with a very bland piece of salmon fillet. My partners lamb was largely uncooked and was of a chilled temperature. We will not be returning and would not recommend going for a meal at this restaurant.

“Wonderful views”

Have been here several times, albeit only for drinks. The menu certainly looked worthy of exploring but the views alone make a visit worthwhile.
